US President Donald Trump is clearing the sale of billions of dollars' worth of weapons to Saudi Arabia, citing Iranian threats to its arch rival. Mr Trump evoked a rarely used aspect of federal law to push through the $8bn deal, which would ordinarily need to be approved by Congress.

Has anyone identified this recent Iranian threat? Beyond potty tweets?

All I know is that the Gang of Eight was briefed by the CIA and DoD earlier this week and all of a sudden Congress and the press completely shut up about it.

I thought they shut up about it cuz donald said Iran put their "attack" on hold because of his awesomeness?

That too, it was obviously a little of the former and a yuge amount of the latter.

Maybe Trump will go down in history as the American President who saved Mecca.

Nobel Prize after all!

Anyway, anyone support changing the law, so Congress can't be bypassed?

I don't know the specifics, but if the President can bypass a law made by Congress, Congress probably can't change it so he can't.

#7 Congress writes Federal laws, so I am pretty sure Congress can change it.

Equally light on specifics.

Saudi arabia owns trump because they own the national enquirer which has a vault full of decades of trump crimes and scandals.

Yes, by all means, support the Saudis, the people that refuse to show us who inside their country funded 9-11. The country which puts a 14 year old girl on the top of her parents roof after she has been gang raped where she cries without food and water until dead.

Trump just wants to be able to borrow more money from them or better yet just accept the money as a gift. That's why he's kissing up to them constantly.

WHAT A PIECE OF TRASH

If the Saudi terrorists want weapons we should send the 400 tomahawks at .92mach at an altitude of 140 meters.

200 into riyahd, 200 into their oilfields.

Oil fields the US built.
Couple of m.o.a.b's would frost the cake.

Not the same Saudi Arabia which carried out 9/11, right?

Not the same Saudi Arabia which was funding ISIS, right?

Oh, yea, it's the same country.

But Iran! They did something, right?

And the Saudis, they're our, allies?

#16 Ask yourself, did Obama or Hillary call them out?

How about Lurch, Clapper, Comey, or Brennan.

Any Dems at all?

Fox News has that Yoo character on for points on Iran - because he's the piece of trash that legalized the torture of detainees.

9/11 had almost no dissent from invading Iraq. No Republican dissent AT ALL, so guess which party those who did not vote for the invasion support.

ALL contractors who supply for the Saudi kingdom should be dropped three miles offshore, shot into the sun, etc.

Traitors all.

Hey! I have an idea! Let's talk about Hillary and Obama and Democrats!

Anything other than the $8 billion in weapon sales to the Saudis or the war Trump is itching to get us into.

I agree. The $8 Billion arms sale to the Saudis is horrid. I don't support it at all. I oppose it.

What you don't understand, because of TDS hysteria, is that Obama sold 10X that amount to the Saudi's, and Hillary would be doing the same deal as Trump is she were Queen, and Biden will do no less as well.

SEPTEMBER 7, 2016
Obama administration arms sales offers to Saudi top $115 billion -

What you fail to acknowledge is that the Dem party is no different than Republicans when it come to aiding and abetting atrocities around the world. Shall we move on to Obama's drone wars? Who am I kidding, you refuse to face the truth when confronted with facts.

Obama sold 10X that amount to the Saudi's

And? This justifies what? I was equally opposed to Obama's actions.

I wasn't the biggest fan of Obama.

But, there's no way the Democratic Party is as destructive to our present and future as the Republican Party.

What you fail to acknowledge is that the Dem party is no different than Republicans when it come to aiding and abetting atrocities around the world.

I've always said our greatest export is war.

Fact is, all Republicans are pro war. There aren't as many Democrats who are, especially now, in 2019.

Fact is, you can live in yesterday for as long as you need to to ignore Trump's Presidency.

Fact is Trump is president today and his actions are destructive to our nation. He's costing the taxpayers a lot of money, he's using his presidency to enrich himself. His actions are petty, he's a narcissist, he picks arguments with people and cries on Twitter. His administration has no interest in helping Americans, our environment, our education system, or anyone other than themselves.

He's an awful person, I knew he was a showboating jackhole before he was president, everything he's said and done since his nomination have only further confirmed my opinion of him. He's a liar, this is actually indisputable, matter of fact, no one disputes this, we just accept it. He's giving a voice to fringe segments of society who were better off staying silent.

But, why bother actually discussing something with you. Hillary did something in 2002, so it justifies everything Trump is doing.

And the only way to stop it is? Vote for Hillary? nope. Biden? nope.

The only way is an anti-war POTUS with a domestic social agenda.

We know the R's won't produce one. The thing is? Neither will the DNC.

In fact, they do everything in their power to torpedo it. Go ahead. keep voting for them. I won't.

SheepleSchism - I have posted this before - corporate Democrats run a plague barge. Unlike Cenk Uyger I don't want to take it over, but sink it along with all corporate elected. This nation is their profiteering center, this weapons sale no different from any corporate Democrat or Republican, I agree.

All contractors are probably worth stopping from invasions and destroying on some level. Our world will continue to perish by weapons brandishing the GE logo.

Vote for Hillary? nope.

Unless she's planning on running in 2020 this is more of the same. 2016 ended 3 years ago. It's 2019.

Biden? nope.

Over Trump? I hope so.

I've lived through three years of Trump and know America would be better off with Anyone else as President.

The only way is an anti-war POTUS with a domestic social agenda.

Based on recent clamor, either Trump is getting ready for a war, is really trying to distract from Congress going after his tax returns, probably both.

We know the R's won't produce one. The thing is? Neither will the DNC.

They'll produce someone, and California will vote to elect them, we'll have to see how the rest of America's states vote. Because, if 2016 proved one things, it's the popular vote is worthy.

In fact, they do everything in their power to torpedo it. Go ahead. keep voting for them. I won't.

Well, it's all about you, isn't it.
