"Trump Will Bypass Congress to Sell Weapons to Gulf Nations"

Trump is a Draft Dodging, Russia loving Tyrant.

If he keeps this crap up, Benedict Donald may well wind up being hanged by the time Lady Justice has her way with him.

Grab him by the mushroom Lady Justice.

Bypassing the Arms Control Act by fiat would be a Yuge mistake by Donnie Little Hands and would open up the use of the Emergency Powers doctrine for any President to sell arms to anyone.

This, in and of itself, is an abuse of power that could push GOP Reps and Senators towards impeachment.

Thanks, I am always amused by this sock puppet theory.

Back on topic, these sales were originally arranged through the DoD during the prior administration, and think that they have become a political football now that Trump has embraced them.

They will ultimately go through, from a strategic standpoint we need the Saudis as a counterpoint to Iran.

I really don't know much about whether this is something that Trump can do or not, but it is wishful thinking, at best, to think that this is somehow impeachable.

"from a strategic standpoint we need the Saudis as a counterpoint to Iran."

What strategy is that?
???

The Saudi strategy involves them renting 500 rooms a night at Trump businesses.

I think if we've learned anything these past two years it's that there's nothing the GOP won't stomach from Trump.

"from a strategic standpoint we need the Saudis as a counterpoint to Iran."

Remind me, when was the last time Iran invaded any nation? That is total bull crap, Iran is not harming anyone significantly enough to pretend we need the blood thirsty murderer of Kashoghi as an ally.

The right is so confused by ME threats, the people who attacked us on 9-11 were Saudis and were financed by Saudis. The people who helped us defeat the Sunnis is Iraq were The Shiites, as are the Iranians. Any problems we have with Iran were caused by us, by overthrowing their elected government and then isolating them, sanctioning them, etc. Did we even ever get around to sanctioning Saudi Arabia after 9-11 or did we actually just redact all mention of that nation's involvement from the 9-11 Commission Report? Wake up people, America does not need Saudi oil, we have our own. WE don't need to kiss the asses of those horrible people any longer.

#11 Bruce, eat me. Obama secretly sold stolen guns across the border to Mexican cartels, and ran Russian AK's through Libya to Syrian al Qaeda terrorists-the moderate ones, of course.

So now you fly into a partisan rage when Donnie Orangebucket fulfills Obama's sale.

Alternate headline: Trump makes use of law passed by Congress allowing sale without Congressional review. Congress and media pretend that this is somehow wrong.

The orange sloth pretends there is an "emergency" at the border and in Saudi Arabia so he can apply a law that is only supposed to be used in actual emergencies. An example of an emergency would be hurricane hitting Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Tornadoes hitting the MidWest or the 9-11 attack. Sandy and Katrina created other emergencies which Republicans are loath to respond to.

But the orange sloth is not interested in helping any of the people subjected to collateral damage from global warming because he is a denier who really doesn't care about anything except himself and people who might lend or give him money.
