Something about Nancy Pelosi just gets under Trump's skin. On Wednesday, for the third time in barely six months, a meeting between the president, the speaker and Sen. Chuck Schumer blew up in spectacular fashion.

Interesting take on today's events that comports with recent articles trying to reconcile Speaker Pelosi's strategy with the obvious frustrations in her caucus over her reticence to commence impeachment proceedings.

She's smarter than Trump and there is nothing he can do about her. Her family has been in politics her entire life. Trump is a trust fund racketeer from Queens. He'll have to obey her if he wants to get anything done. The trouble is, he doesn't know how anything works other than throwing tantrums like a spoiled child.

All it takes to make Trump mad is to let him know you don't think he's the best person in the world. It's extremely simple. Dumb article.

^agreed; is this what we as Americans want as a leader: a dumb, tantrum-throwing narcissistic liar who is in early stages of dementia?

Fat Nixon is totally intimidating by her. That's why he can only come up with a lame ass nickname of "Nancy" for her and why he falls into her traps over and over and over.

She is pushing all his crazy buttons and he runs right into the trap.

The shutdown.

Now yesterdays public meltdown and self admission he lied to Mueller in his testimony.

Brilliant.

She is beating him up with his own stupidity.

Lets see if he falls for todays trap. My money is on yes.

I don't think he's used to women treating him like he's stupid. Which he is. Before now women have been his wives, children, underlings, sycophants, mistresses. Never before has he really had to deal with a woman who was a peer that he couldn't just bully or sue into doing what he wanted. His sense of masculinity is just that fragile.

I just listened to his Rose Garden statement after the non-meeting on infrastructure and in no way does he sound infuriated. Go look/listen for yourself rather than listen to someone's biased statement about him.

I saw it too. He didn't seem agitated to me either.

But the hysteria crowd needs to portray other people as being in some sort of panic.

which is funny, because all the meltdowns are coming from them. Just read this site.

People are completely unhinged here.

I think that says much more about the two of you (and Nulli who flagged you newsworthy) than it does his statement.

Trump's negotiating tactics don't work on the Dem leadership. They know that with the application of some calm patience they will get their way. Watch for this fall, when the debt ceiling has to be raised. Trump will hold that governmental function hostage, trying to get the Dems to knuckle under. They will not, so the GOP will be forced to go to Trump and tell him that only a clean bill will pass, otherwise (1) Trump will be at the head of the US Government that will default on its debts for the first time EVER, (2) the GOP will be blown out of Congress and the White House, and (3) in some parts, GOP pols who ever said anything nice about The Dotard will be dragged from their beds and whipped on the local town square...

Flagged newsworthy by Corky.

Hey, let's play who-flagged-who. It's such a compelling argument. For what, I have no idea.

You are insane.

Obstructing Congress in its constitutional duty is what is unhinged.

"I don't do cover-ups"

Said no President ever. And using his catch tell of "and you people know this better than anyone". Like the stunned silence that follows is some sort of tacit agreement.

"You can't investigate and legislate simultaneously - it just doesn't work that way."

Bullshat, of course.

Said, no President ever. They all still do their jobs even under extreme pressure from the opposing party. And this is pressure he brought upon himself by his own actions.

Humpy has no idea how the government works. So to him it does not work. Because he cannot make it work. He does not have the skill set necessay.

Now he is threatening Congress and to hold America hostage again to his Abuse of Power and Obstruction.

He is right though. The government does not work the way he thinks it does.

And it will be his downfall. And he will not be able to "sue" his way out of it.

Trampy has squandered his ill gotten inheritance and bankrupted a string of businesses, including Casinos. He doesn't understand anything other than how to con idiots out of their money.

Exactly. Even regular people have ego problems, it's not just Trump. One day they will have to do what i had to do re Nixon. Admit that they voted for a crook.

The middle class suburban white kid I was in the 80s used to have a Reagan picture up in his high school locker. I know the feeling.

Who had a sign made up ahead of time proclaiming "no collusion" "no obstruction".

Which has nothing to do with infrastructure.

What signs did the Democrats have made up ahead of time?

The Democrats came with a 35 page infrastructure plan.

Trump had a sign claiming no collusion.

So who came prepared to talk about infrastructure?

This level of ignorance is what is creating America's great division.

She is such a Jezebel, I suspect she will be eaten by dogs.

Best example: Her smug face and self-righteous clapping during the State of the Union.

For someone that hates Trump, she's gotta be a hero.

This is true.

My best working theory on trump:
Think of any white 72 year old men who are rich they you know.
The "baseline" mood, personality and actions of such a person is probably pretty similar. Sad but true.

Employees and family of such people usually just roll their eyes and bide their time til he retires or dies. Especially when such an individual speaks on matters of race. Women rarely confront such a man (husband, father, CEO).

If you can get past the pain, the Trump presidency is fascinating.

#23 ignorance itself wouldn't be so bad. It's the fact it's almost entirely willful that's the problem.
