Someone yesterday was telling me about what comes around goes around, but like Karma is something that only visits Democrats.

Trump's a loser.

I saw this, but having appeared in front of Garland I do know that he is a stickler for precedent and a rule follower, so he may not be as friendly as Democrats may hope he is.

This will go on the "Wheel" and end up assigned to the next available panel, if that is Garland's is up to timing and availability.

What precedent do you think cuts against the Dems in this case?

They could just deny the appeal and let the lower court decision stand. Womp womp.

Hopefully the courts will rely on precedent. Trump is screwed on this issue.

I'm not a lawyer, but see no way in which the judiciary will ever rule against the oversight function of the legislature, after 200+ years of precedent. to rule in favor of the executive would nullify ALL oversight from here forward. Remember how all those folks from the (insert name here) administration were called before Congress to talk about what ever they talked about? none of those hearing would ever take place again...

If the Dems win can't Trump take it to his Republican SC?

If that happens trump might regret the time he said the People could just shoot supreme court justices.

I hope the irony is painful for every Trump fan.

I'm not sure what bearing that has on this situation. Unless you think that Garland is going to allow his opinion on Trump's appeal to be swayed by McConnell's actions when Trump was still a civilian.

"Unless you think that Garland is going to allow his opinion on Trump's appeal to be swayed by McConnell's actions when Trump was still a civilian."

He was a civilian but he could have acted with honor and appointed Garland despite McConnell's disgusting display of partisanship. But he didn't because he is Trump, he has no honor any more than McConnell does.
