$576 billion base budget for the Department of Defense; plus $174 billion for the Pentagon's Overseas war budget; $93.1 billion for the VA; $51.7 billion for Homeland Security; $42.8 billion for State Department; plus $26.1 billion for State Department's regime change slush fund; $16.5 billion for the DOE's nuclear weapons budget; $21 billion for militarizing outer space; plus $267.4 billion for all other government agencies affiliated with defense. Proposed cuts over ten years are: $1.5 trillion from Medicaid; $845 billion from Medicare; $25 billion from Social Security; $220 billion cut to SNAP; $21 billion cut to Temporary Assistance for Needy Families; $207 billion in cuts to the student loan program. Corporate media supports the ruling elite and ignores the ever-expanding military budget. The US military is an attack on our communities, our livelihoods and our lives.

Mike Pompeo and John Bolton have surpassed all of the bleak expectations and proven to be more extreme in their ideology, more personally amoral and malevolent than previously feared. What we are seeing now is all constraints have been removed with free rein to fulfill their zio-neocon agendas specifically against Venezuela and Iran.

You must pay whether you like it or not. Everyone's lifestyle suffers, except those inside the war machine.

The numbers are what the numbers are. We could start by simply enforcing national accounting rules on the Pentagon so that they will be able to account for the $13 trillion they are unable or unwilling to account for now. Once that problem is solved we could coordinate our international diplomatic and military into a sensible purpose in service to the American people instead of a machine which extorts profits from the helpless for a few. Since WWII the only policy this country has adhered to is Kissinger's, "control oil and you control nations, control food and you control people".

Most of the US military budget is money wasted on aggressions against imaginary enemies in a system fraught with fraud and price gouging. Department of defense is a misnomer. Worse, the military missions fail constantly, increasing its costs in direct and indirect ways.
