House Democrats are backing away from plans to hold a blockbuster hearing this month with Robert Mueller after talks stalled out with the special counsel and his representatives.

Nadler is such an idiot it's amazing that he remembers to feed himself.

It's almost as if he doesn't want to do anything other than rub his eyes in frustration in front of the cameras.

-...after talks stalled out with the special counsel and his representatives

WHAT?!? - Pelosi should subpoena him, threaten arrest, and fines.
...go on CNN and accuse him of breaking the law and covering for Trump

Mueller is acting like Trump's personal lawyer by acquitting him of wrongdoing.

He's a monster. a MONSTER, I say.

I thought the "plan" was to have Mueller testify, get boatloads of documents and then impeach...

It looks like that will be sometime in 2021.

Their plan is discover new evidence at the 11th hour, like Sept 2020.

Wow, how smart is that the Nadler totally conned Mueller into delaying his testimony until 3 months after the report came out!!!!

Mueller's House Testimony Likely Off Until at Least June

June!! June?? Wow, that's like a couple of weeks from now! Can we all survive till then?

Seriously, what's the rush? Let people and sheeple start getting used to the idea that Trump, Barr, McConnell et al are in the 'circle the wagons' obstructionist mode and they will demand that Dems take any 'extreme' measures to get whatever transparency, testimony and documents Trump doesn't want the people to see and hear.

As the drip-drip-drip goes, this is bad not for the Dems, but for Trump and the GOP, where many of rank-and-file are already on the ledge and are just starting to express frustrations at Trumps self-serving and self-dealing "policies" re damaging tariffs, border, Iran, Saudis, NATO...

Slow growing economy and ever-hopeful atock market of busted overvalued IPOs are his only marginally bright spot in all the polls.

He is already underwater in election polls at about 38% at best, even in the Fox News polls and losing to current top 5 Dems, despite the officially low inflation and fake "booming economy" which is already slowing down sharply in the second quarter and will force his hand on trade issues.

And his willingness to give anything to Dems on infrastructure (gotta spend extra $2T of taxpayers' money to shore up economy and bring some bacon to his cronies) will cause even more dissent among his non-core constituents.

It's all starting to fall apart, just as his brain-dead cult members are dancing around "Investigate the investigators" campfire.

Mueller will testify sometime soon enough. The only question is how much time and energy they will spend trying to prevent this from happening and pissing off the people still on the fence who want to hear the testimony about why Mueller followed the stupid DOJ guidelines which put Presidents above the laws made for "other citizens" and left it to the 12 grand juries and the DOJ and the Congress to consider what to do next with the "Runaway" President.

So much wrong, so little time.

Suffice it to say that if the Dems wait any longer, they will never impeach Trump.

Maybe you are fine with that, but there is more than enough evidence to impeach Trump without wasting months in the courts trying to get the unredacted report and supporting evidence.

But the Dems are too timid to do what is necessary.

Ruthless Republicans meet pathetic Democrats.

The GOP is going to take the initiative now. After the IG report and Barr's findings on the origins of the Russia scam, the Dems will look even more dumb, corrupt, and impotent than now if they try anything impeachment related. Their chance to impeach was before the Mueller report - now that the facts are out, they are screwed.

Ira = alias of IRA = Internet Research Agency (St. Petersburg, Russia)

The problem with "investigating" the "oranges of the "Russian scam" (your "orange asset" can't even pronounce "origins" properly) originate in Russians pushing and supporting Trump and the band of other fake "populists" to destabilize Western Atlantic and Pacific alliances happened well before the FBI counterintelligence could connect them to Trump campaign.

Barr has already debased his reputation and himself by lying, distorting and omitting the facts, so his "findings" will be met with the same contempt that he deserves, especially so after Mueller eventual testimony. If there is no problem for Trump and his Russian handlers in the origins of FBI investigation, he would only be eager to let Mueller testify; instead, he and Barr are doing everything possible to stop Mueller and others from testifying about Trump's "full exoneration".

Same goes for "dumb and corrupt" Trump's tax returns, which may or may not be "under audit" as if that matters. Everyone knows that Clintons were / are just corrupt, but they were not dumb enough to be so corrupt that they couldn't show their tax returns to public. Bill Clinton was named an "exceptionally good liar" by his former friend. Nobody thinks that Trump is even remotely a "good" liar, just an obsessive bad liar who just doesn't care as long as he can sell MAGA hats.

Trump's handlers in Moscow and your bosses in St. Petersburg should get off this track of "oranges" because it only will bite them in the @ss after "Barr investigation" will prove just more obstraction of juctice and Trump will lose his favorite AG for whatever time remains of his term.

But nice red herring IRA, it is "red" isn't it?

GOP Lawmaker Unloads on Trump and Barr

Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) slammed President Trump and Attorney General William Barr is a series of tweets, while saying he offers his conclusions "only after having read Mueller's redacted report carefully and completely."

Amash states his "principal conclusions" as follows:

1. Attorney General Barr has deliberately misrepresented Mueller's report.
2. President Trump has engaged in impeachable conduct.
3. Partisanship has eroded our system of checks and balances.
4. Few members of Congress have read the report.

He concludes: "America's institutions depend on officials to uphold both the rules and spirit of our constitutional system even when to do so is personally inconvenient or yields a politically unfavorable outcome. Our Constitution is brilliant and awesome; it deserves a government to match it."

Try to keep up, there is a whole thread about Amash.

Delay, which is integral to the Judicial System and enhances profits, works to the advantage of the orange sloth.

Republicans are probably more eager to have Mueller testify than Democrats.

This is actually a smart move for Nadler (I can't believe I just typed that). Wait for the impending IG report to be released and then decide whether or not to ask Mueller to testify.

That could be the play, if the IG report is a non-issue then bring Mueller in, that way the GOP doesn't hi-jack the hearings with endless speculation about the IG investigation. If the IG report is bad for Comey et al., then make something up that keeps Mueller from testifying.

But Nadler is too dumb to have figured that out on his own, this seems more in Pelosi's league.
