Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Friday, May 17, 2019

Democratic lawmakers Reps. Maxine Waters and Adam Schiff along with Sens. Sherrod Brown and Ron Wyden are calling for an investigation into Mitch McConnell's Russia bribe. It is not a coincidence that the least popular senator in America used his power as Senate Majority Leader to stop Democrats from reimposing sanctions on a Russian oligarch and then that same oligarch just so happens to invest $200 million in McConnell's home state before the reviled senator is running for reelection. Those are some unbelievable coincidences, and why Democrats are demanding an investigation into the investment in Kentucky.

Gets back to why the GOP is helping Trump stonewall. It's a rotten tree, filled with grubs. Let's push it until it falls over.

LOL, looks like Jason Easley and Sarah Jones are desperately trying to regain relevance after the Mueller report blew up in their faces.

Exactly. No elected official should EVER be investigated for questionable real estate deals.

The Democrats will soon run out of "investigators", and will have to outsource their real jobs to other people.

That's the most neutral, unbiased article devoid of opinion and speculation I've ever read.

"That's the most neutral, unbiased article devoid of opinion and speculation I've ever read."

So, you're pretending:

1) McConnell had no hand in changing the sanctions,
2) It's all just a stunning coincidence, and
3) Of all the states, Kentucky was the best investment choice.

Do your arms ever get tired from carrying all that water?

No but you're pretending that you have evidence to the contrary, when you don't, tub-toter.

They should now do a scathing expose on Uranium One...

Oh, that's right, they won't because as Corky's superlame fave, Media Bias/Fact Check rates them, "Overall, we rate PoliticusUSA, borderline extreme Left Biased in wording and editorial positions" and "PoliticusUSA has been criticized for utilizing sensational/misleading headlines that do not always match the reality of the story."

But in their defense they do get high marks for sourcing, using "credible media outlets such as: Wall Street Journal, CNN, USAToday, Toronto Star, Reuters, The Hill, Washington Post, and New York Times" when they do provide links to attempt to back up their opinion pieces, so there is that.

The Mueller Report didn't blow up in anyone's face, hack.

Politicus went "all in" on Collusion/Conspiracy, which blew up when Mueller stated, in the report, "the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities."

Joe's right. It was supposed to be an atomic blast, but turned out to be a barely-fizzy-cork-popper where nothing gushed out.

All that anticipation, hoping, wanting, breathless panting and pundit wanking, and all Joe was left holding was a limp biscuit.

Correct. The investigation did, however, reveal a campaign that was highly receptive to foreign interference, lied about it under oath repeatedly, and then went on to repeatedly obstruct an investigation into that interference.

In any sane world the Mueller Report is the most damning picture of a politician in US history.

Dear SheepleShizz:
Maybe if the FBI had, oh actually interviewed all of the Trump family and TRUMP HIMSELF, then the report would be somewhat complete. As for the printed report, you apparently have access to it that no one else has. As for me, I've read the heavily-redacted version and wven that lays out a pretty compelling case for impeachment on Obstruction of Justice.

- lays out a pretty compelling case

That Mueller had no evidence to bring charges.

Yes, the Clinton campaign. it's being investigated now.

Politicus was breathlessly counting down the minutes until Trump was jailed for "collusion" and even had a tab with a countdown clock for "Russian Collusion" that notably disappeared on March 24, 2019 and was replaced with "Russia Scandal" that day. In fact, they published an article about the "Collusion Bomb" that they guaranteed would be dropped on Trump on March 9 where they said:

"A conspiracy indictment? ‘Bank on it.'

Glenn Kirschner's bold prediction that Mueller still has a "collusion bomb" up his sleeve comes after he said on Twitter this week that he believes a "conspiracy indictment is coming."

"Bank on it," he said."

After the Mueller report came out the editors of Politicus didn't update or post any stories themselves for about a week.

Mueller lays out why he didn't or couldn't charge Trump.

Are you really this intentionally ignorant or are you really just this dishonest?

Mueller had no problems bringing process crime charges, or tax evasion charges.

In fact, his grand jury brought indictments for all matter of issues except collusion or obstruction.

How compelling a case could it possibly be if the opposition party won't even pick it up?
