People here in MO wont be happy until they pass Alabama or Mississippi for biggest s**thole in the US. The tali-cons in Jefferson City are working as quickly as they can to make it happen.

More Christian Sharia law.

It will bite women now. But, not in the ass.

No.

#3 Liberals said that's exactly what they'd do. It was the retarded centrists that foolishly believed Bart o Kegerator and fake Merrick Garland's lies about respecting precedent.

Someone look up the "Roe Effect" and "‘missing voters."

It goes a little like this:

49% of Democratic women have had an abortion
30% or so of Republican women have had an abortion

The biggest predictor of voting behavior is who your parents voted for.
By the simple math, in 1991, the children aborted due to Roe could have started to vote. By 2000, that was more than 10,000,000 voters, and with the assumptions of voting behavior, Al Gore would've won the election in 2000. Certainly our Orange Prez would've lost (he barely won).

So Dems, either stop aborting your kids.
Get the GOP to abort more often, or do a better job of changing voting behavior (which is hard to do consistently).

Barring that, expect more and more prolifers to overtake you abortion lovers. And for the political realities to play out in favor of LIFE!

I think we as a collective federation of states just need to decide that the two most contentious topics of our time just need to be left alone. Conservatives need to leave abortion alone and liberals need to leave the 2nd amendment alone. These two topics by themselves could start the second civil war.

#11 | Posted by boaz at 2019-05-17 11:46 AM | Reply

But conservatives have never left this issue alone. Trump has used this issue to create a viable coalition. The Republican Party has made another well organized well funded drive to remove free choice from the working class knowing full well the rich can have what they want anyway, regardless what the law says.

"More Christian Sharia law."

That's the first time I've heard that and very fitting. It's sad we can't keep ALL religions out of our laws.

"The Republican Party has made another well organized well funded drive to remove free choice from the working class knowing full well the rich can have what they want anyway, regardless what the law says."

So why do you support Dems removing free choice when they do it? Your statement applies to so many examples from each side that the fact you are pointing out only one side shows your extreme bias.

Good God, man, are you actually going to pretend Dems are WORSE when it comes to choice?!?

There is just no bridge too far, is there?

*13, Hummer, WTF issue are you claiming I support? If you think. I even provide whole hearted support for Democrats you have extremely poor reading skills. But it doesn't take much brainpower to figure out which party is the greatest threat to life on Earth beginning with the orange sloth.

Why do righties have to lie so incessantly? I guess that's why they try so hard to appear Christian.

If they really cared about children, they would embrace universal health care or better their education system.

#8 | POSTED BY DRIVELIKEJEHU

Yeah! If Dems want abortion to be legal... stop abortions???

Makes sense. If you want good health care, stop going to the doctor. If you want a good job, quit your job.

Part of Ohio anti-abortion bill based on an article from 1917 -- yes, the 1917 from a century ago

The Ohio Republican pushing an anti-abortion bill requiring insurance companies to cover surgery to reimplant ectopic pregnancies into the uterus -- a surgery that does not exist -- has provided the receipts for his claim that it does exist. And it turns out that a key part of state Rep. John Becker's evidence for ectopic pregnancy reimplantation in the year 2019 is an article from the year 1917. Nineteen. Seventeen.

After OB-GYN and reproductive health researcher Dr. Daniel Grossman challenged the bill on a scientific basis, Becker provided him with a two-and-a-half page 1917 article by a doctor claiming to have successfully reimplanted a single ectopic pregnancy, leading to a full-term pregnancy. Becker's other piece of evidence was a 1990 letter to the editor in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology by a doctor claiming to have witnessed such a procedure in 1980. That's it -- two supposed cases, one of them with the evidence running to two-and-a-half pages in 1917 by the doctor who claimed to have produced this miracle, and a letter by a doctor who says he saw it happen in 1980, but apparently didn't see fit to put it into print until a decade later.

Because Democrats believe everyone should be able to have the ability and right to choose.

Not just the rich. We don't really want to punish the rich but we also don't like seeing the poor or disadvantaged being punished by the rich.

Why is that simple concept so hard to understand?

This is obviously not a Pro Life law.

The fact that they can pass a draconian abortion law but cannot even vote on expanding medicaid to help the "babies" who are now in need speaks volumes.

Guys, we need to stop talking so much smack about the people who live in these states.

They're all at the bottom of the barrel in education, if anyone who lived there stumbled across this site they probably wouldn't be able to read your post anyway.

LOL

Not everybody.

I'm definitely going to check how my state legislator voted and how the one who represents where I'm moving to voted.

"Fetal heat beat" laws, at least the ones I've read about, are twisted, dishonest lying for Jeebus and nothing more, so I'll sure be voting against them if they supported this nonsense.

I'll admit I was wrong. I figured a subtler, back door attempt is what would be made.

Hopefully Roberts' desire to keep his tenure favorably viewed in the future will make these nonsense laws little more than expensive legal bills for these states.

I have to admit, I am kind of shocked as to how drastically the abortion debate has turned at the state level.

On the 1 side of the spectrum we have the 1-heartbeat states, like Missouri and on the other hand we have states like NY where it's essentially legal up-to the point of birth.

The last thing Roberts wants is to re-litigate abortion. These new state laws will ultimately test the legal voracity of Roe. Roberts most likely wants to keep this in the lower courts.

and on the other hand we have states like NY where it's essentially legal up-to the point of birth.

Not entirely accurate.

They have greater exemptions to account for health of the mother, but it's not as if the law allows a doctor to grab a crowned head and pull it out predator style.

It's also a pretty cynical view of humanity (or at least people on the other side of the political aisle) to think they'd be comfortable with that act.

I suspect if you made that accusation to a doctor's face they'd not only get really angry (rightfully so, I think) but would suggest they'd perform a C-section to attempt to save mom and child.

Yap.

We live in a place where giving a bottle of water and a granola bar to 5 year old immigrant who is dying of thirst and starving to death will get you arrested, but it's perfectly acceptable to call yourself Prolife even though you play dress up as a soldiers with your friends and point a rifles in their faces.
