Wonderful the things you can do when you personally own your own fleet of space ships.

Well gotta post on this... only 5 threads? WOW! Folks just don't see Bezo's genius... he saw a threat and eliminated it.

OK the problem is the Internet has come to 4 big Internet Providers and a bunch of smaller ones. The FCC is considering letting these providers play games with their web data.

For Instance, they can slow web traffic from particular sites and even put data caps as well. So if your Amazon, you just know they are gonna stick their arms out and say "Pay Us not to slow down your shoppers traffic or put data caps..." Thus COMPLETELY controlling Amazons web operations...

BUT, by having your own private web data network, you can TOTALLY bypass this threat.

I am assuming he will bundle this service with the popular firestick TV service with Amazon Prime. He has a winner if he can make the service cheap and reliable enough.

Remember, this is a PRIVATE data network so FCC rules DO NOT APPLY... although he could turn the tables and ASK AT&T, Sprint, Hughes, and Spectrum money to speed traffic to their OWN internet sites...

He would have TOTAL control over this private network. It could be made to be Hacker and Spam Free. He could offer many other services... even secure access for government and corporate interests.

I am pretty surprised that Apple didn't think of this first... had Steve Jobs been alive, I am sure he would have been all over this... Iphones can only get you so far and it looks like interest in them has hit a peak...
