Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Trump has assembled a long record of comment on issues involving African Americans as well as Mexicans, Hispanics more broadly, Native Americans, Muslims, Jews, immigrants, women, and people with disabilities. His statements have been reflected in his behavior -- from public acts (placing ads calling for the execution of five young black and Latino men accused of rape, who were later shown to be innocent) to private preferences ("When Donald and Ivana came to the casino, the bosses would order all the black people off the floor," a former employee of Trump's Castle, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, told a writer for The New Yorker).

Summary of the article sections, minus the bias:
1. Trump Management, like many businesses at the time, were merely catering to the racist preferences of people like you, the reader, who likely lived (and still live) in neighborhoods with few or no people not of your race.
2. The Central Park Five confessed. They later recanted. Its a perfectly valid opinion to say they are being dishonest and were involved in that particular act of violence, even if they didn't "finish" inside the victim. This opinion is shared shared by many law enforcement involved, including Linda Fairstein, head of the sex crimes unit at the time.
3. Trump was accusing reservation casinos of being corrupt...which they are. And insinuating that tribal governments and casino "owners" are puppet shell committees for white businessmen, which is totally accurate.
4. Black man gets his balls busted on The Apprentice, like everybody else, and whines that it is racism.
5. He made a big deal about the birth certificate. It was a big risk but ended up winning the primary.
6. Neo-Nazis seem to like Trump. Trump ignores them instead of condemning them, until there is an uproar. Stories about the bad stuff Neo-Nazis did at that time is blamed on him because Trump failed to virtue signal in an appropriate amount of time.

"Remarkably enough, nearly 80 percent of Republicans claim that Trump isn't biased against black people. (More than 80 percent of Democrats and 52 percent of all Americans say he is.) How can they deny what's in front of their eyes? He has a decades-long history of racist comments and acts, and he rose to political prominence by claiming that the first African American president wasn't born in America. As president, Trump has said there were "very fine people" on both sides at the white-supremacist rally in Charlottesville, defended Confederate monuments, pardoned racist former sheriff Joe Arpaio, described African nations as "--------" countries and vilified African American NFL players who were peacefully protesting police brutality by saying they "shouldn't be in the country."

Trump calls certain immigrants "animals" -- this has become part of his rally shtick -- and complains that people in sanctuary cities are "breeding" like, well, animals."

Oh come on, he is the guy that desegregated Miami Beach. He had done deals with Arabs, Caribbean blacks, white Europeans and Asians. All while building hotels and golf courses. If he really hated black and brown people would he give them jobs? Invest billions in the local economy? Hell no one considered him a racist until he ran for POTUS. Is he got a case of foot in mouth disease, yes. But not as bad as Biden.

The one which says the black/brown people are perpetual victims and are helpless against an ill defined power structure? Or the one that says, "Stop doing self destructive behavior and take advantage of the opportunities that are in front of you". How not to be poor in America, Get some education, graduate from High School. Don't have babies before you are married and don't commit crimes. Black people who follow these rules are doing well. Those who don't aren't. Example, Africans and Jamaican people are doing as well as their white peers. Asians are doing better.

Ah, I see the racist Dems are just getting worse. Now there is proof that Dems are racist. See, Trump says hateful things to many, many people. There are ample situations in which he has said hateful things to many, many white people. But, instead of understanding he is just filled with hate for anyone who doesn't like him or treat him like royalty, Dems skip over the fact that he does this to white people. They call Trump a racist because he DOESN'T discriminate in his hate. Dems are basically saying they WANT him to treat all races differently than he does the white people he hates. In other words, Dems think it's OK to treat minorities differently, which is racist. Just another example of how Dems are fueling racism and actually propagating it. He wasn't considered racist before he became an enemy of the Dems, in fact it was quite the opposite for a while when he was saying things the Dems agreed with. There is nothing he has done that proves he is racist. He is hateful and that hate comes out in the same form for everyone who he doesn't like. But there is nothing yet that proves he is a racist.

Of course, that is based on what real racism is. This 21st century faux racism that Dems have created that THEY can't even define clearly is something intelligent people ignore as typical Liberal whininess for not getting their way.

Wikipedia: "The Ellis Island Medal of Honor is an American award founded by the Ellis Island Honors Society (EIHS) (formerly known as National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations (NECO) until Fall of 2017 which are presented annually to American citizens whose accomplishments in their field and inspired service to the United States are cause for celebration."

The award has nothing to do with immigration or immigrants it's a perceived honor for service. Which is funny since Cadet Bonespurs received it.

What did he say that was wrong? It's absolutely true. Trump took money from deplorables. Trump called "some" of the white supremacist deplorables of Charlottesville "very fine people", it is hard to imagine any of them were based on everything we know and what they were rallying for and the way they acted from the beginning en masse. He's buddies with Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Alex Jones, et al. Etc, etc, etc. So yes, he has captured the hearts of many deplorables and would seem to have done so quite consciously.

Talk about stupid comments and frankly if that isn't a "whataboutism". Is your grand orange pubba a racist? Yes.

Yes I did add white supremacists. Anyone who wasn't a white supremacist would certainly not have wanted to be a part of that with their white supremacist chants and such on full display. They all were taking part quite willingly in the videos I have seen of the march and gathering. I for one leave a gathering or movement when I don't like the direction it takes. You are the company you keep after all and it would stupid to associate with people like that if you are merely a closet bigot who isn't willing to be with those you are standing around. The statues are in honor of those who committed treason against the United States - I could care less if it was the great great grand pappy of half those people. Frankly half those people probably didn't have any relatives in the US at that time.

So are the rest of my comments incorrect or did you just want to talk about some very fine white supremacists?

Agreed. If you don't want to be labeled a white supremacist, don't march in lock-step with white supremacists. Only there to protest the taking down of a Confederate statue? If it just so happens to be on the same day and time as white supremacists, don't be surprised that you get lumped in with the white supremacists who organized the protest; might be a good idea to find a different day and time; that is...if, and only if, you are concerned about being labeled a white supremacist.

If you couldn't figure out that white supremacists organized the protest, you might be a white supremacist and simply just not know it. Which is why so many people on the internet are eager to point that out:

If you're protesting the removal of a confederate statue alongside white supremacists, you yourself -- more than likely -- are a white supremacist. Ignorance of does not belie the fact.
