If you hate all of the commercialization behind the day that celebrates moms, imagine how Anna Jarvis would feel now. The holiday's founder worked so hard to get the world to give moms everywhere a shoutout. But before her death, even she had to admit she had some regrets about starting Mother's Day.

Is anyone else here young enough to have a mother that's still alive?

I mean aside from preteen sniper.

Your mom has you, then you have her. Then, when she's gone, you still have her. Moms are magic.

My mom left for a 2 week surprise trip to Italy today. She has MS, so my dad is keeping it slow and low-key. Lots of breaks. No stress. I wished her a HMD yesterday in preps.

I almost lost my mom in 2004. Aneurysm with a stroke. She was in a coma for 4 months. Then she just woke up. Now she's retired and she and her boyfriend are riding all over the southeast on a Harley Trike at 70+ years old.

For those of you who lose your mother's, I wish and hope you have peace. It was hell for me for that four months.

My mom is still alive at 76. I've called her a number of things over the last few years.
