"After spending more than $35,000,000 over a two year period, interviewing 500 people, using 18 Trump Hating Angry Democrats & 49 FBI Agents -- all culminating in a more than 400 page Report showing NO COLLUSION -- why would the Democrats in Congress now need Robert Mueller ... to testify," Trump tweeted.

"Are they looking for a redo because they hated seeing the strong NO COLLUSION conclusion? There was no crime, except on the other side (incredibly not covered in the Report), and NO OBSTRUCTION," the president added."

Sounds like he has nothing to hide......

"The summary letter the Department sent to Congress and released to the public late in the afternoon of March 24 did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance of this Office's work and conclusions," the letter signed by Mueller reads.

"There is now public confusion about critical aspects of the results of our investigation."

Well, wouldn't want to mess with all the "public confusion" that Fixer Barr werked so hard to create, now would we?

If Trump doesn't want Mueller to testify then Mueller needs to testify. Let's all be honest for a moment, why should Donald Trump get to decide?

At this point, Trump needs to resist every Democrat fishing expedition or at least trade for them. Want Mueller - vote for the wall. Want his taxes, agree to cut regulations. Giving the Dems what they say they want now will never appease them. They will keep asking for me until it becomes too painful to continue the charade.

You hijacked 2 years of his presidency already - we all agreed to wait on Mueller's report - we have it. No obstruction, no Russian collusion. Now, be honorable to move the F on already. I want a functioning government and I want Trump to work with the Democrats to solve real problems. But, you are making that impossible. You think you are doing the smart thing - you aren't. You are ensuring 4 more years of Trump and the loss of your congressional majority.

LOL,
IraLieburg aka Sheeple, is so full of crap his Russian eyes are brown. The Mueller report says nothing of what he claims and he clearly hasn't read a word of it. Take your anti-American BS elsewhere Yuri.

Fishing expedition? People testifying before congress and presidential candidates releasing their taxes aren't exactly unusual requests.

My President knew he was illegally receiving help from the Russians.
He did not inform law enforcement.
He encouraged it on TV.
And he tried to shut down the investigation that charged numerous individuals the illegal actions.

If this isn't impeachment worthy, what is?

Much of the confusion is due to people incorrectly stating that this letter is a summary of Mueller's report, when it is actually a summary of only the conclusions.
Barr didn't want to cloud the issue by putting out a summary of the report, so instead released the report itself as fully as law allowed after working with Mueller's team to complete the required redactions.
"I am writing today to advise you of the principal conclusions reach by Special Counsel..."
"Although my review is ongoing, I believe that it is in the public interest to describe the report and to summarize the principal conclusions reached by the SC and the results of his investigation"

No obstruction, no Russian collusion. - #13 | Posted by iragoldberg at 2019-05-06 07:49 AM
Untrue.
The report says no criminal conspiracy with Russia. Collusion being a red herring.
The report says evidence of Obstruction of Justice.
DoJ says insufficient evidence to make a case.

1. We dont have it. It was redacted by a trump stooge.

2. Collusion isn't a legal term. "No Collusion!" is the same as saying "No UNICORNS!"

3. The entire second section is about how much obstruction trump committed. I guess you can't read.

4. You want america to ignore the crimes of a criminal president. Any other criminals whose crimes you think should be ignored?

#23 | Posted by Avigdore

The report says it could not LEGALLY PROVE a criminal conspiracy beyond a reasonable doubt. There is plenty of evidence for one.

Keep lying about it though.

#25 | Posted by SpeakSoftly at 2019-05-06 01:53 PM | Reply

Of course Mueller will testify. Trump is just trying to put a little daylight between himself and Barr. That will remove at least some of the criticism that Barr is Trump's personal attorney or the attorney for the people. It gives a concrete example that Barr is exercising independent judgment on the matters before the AG. It's another political landmine that the Ds have deployed and they're the ones who will probably step on it.

Collusion being a red herring.

#23 | Posted by Avigdore

A red herring distraction created by the master of the Steal, Trumpy. Collusion is not even a crime. Why is Trumpy still obstructing justice about something that wasn't a crime and that he never did anyway???

Cooperating with the Russians to undermine the election process then lying about it and Obstructing Justice and Obstructing a legitimate investigation and refusing to give vital information legally requested by Congress is a crime.

Keep digging Trumpy. Keep calling it a HOAX.

But, we know what it is really all about.

It's all about Delay and Obstruct. Delay and Obstruct. Delay and Obstruct.

And when that levee breaks...

Ira, Ira, Ira... Is it really so cold in Siberia or your brains are frozen by re-reading of the books by Donald of the Bad Trades and Master of None?

When you wake up from bad hangover his books and "strategies" induce, you will realize that it's the other way around - Donald needs Dems more than they need Donald. He is not in control while he is pretending to be.

Try this: Want infrastructure bill - we'll talk after we get a bunch of documents, and by the way we don't need your majesty's permission to talk to Mueller or hold Barr and Mnuchin in contempt. Want the government funded and avoid another humiliating government shutdown - we want your taxes for the last 20 years and names of Russians, Saudis and Chinese whose money you have been and keep laundering through unprofitable golf courses and clubs and other real estate deals (yes, Donnie, we know that real estate LLCs and "partnerships" are the best way to launder money).

That Donald Trump University certificate on your wall - you know it's as phony as the name written on it, don't you?

Trump can say Mueller shouldn't testify until he's blue in the face.

Fact is, he can do nothing to prevent Mueller from testifying. Mueller will be testifying to Congress. Trump has no control over that.

I don't know what he's concerned about. I can't fathom what Mueller can say that isn't already contained in his report.

#30 | Posted by JeffJ at 2019-05-06 09:16 PM | Reply

Context and contrast. Mueller will also be asked if the characterizations of his work given by Trump and Barr were indeed a fair rendering of his own conclusions, then move on from there to the hundreds of facts Mueller can add context to in building a connected narrative of what his investigation uncovered.

Most Americans will never read the Mueller report but many if not most will be exposed to whatever it is Bob Mueller has to day about his work given a congressional committee platform and the importance and significance of understanding his findings as he meant them to be understood.
