There wasn't insufficient evidence on the obstruction part. Don't inadvertently carry the Orange S&@$stain's dish water Mitt.

Well Mittens what are you and your fellow GOnP'ers going to do about besides talking??? How about some action?

Sickened?

Join the club, Captain Courageous.

I'm sure you'll feel well enough to vote against impeachment if the House decides to take that route.

Not that he'll have to face such a decision. Pelosi is right. Articles of impeachment right now would be an exercise in futility. The Senate would never convict. Pelosi knows that if the House is going to take a swing at Trump, the blow has to be hard . . . and fatal!

Pelosi is wise to let the details of the Mueller report firestorm across the country and then fuel the flames with investigations and public testimony under oath.

I am so tired of this argument. Impeaching President Bucket of ---- is the right thing to do. It is irrelevant if the Senate doesn't convict. Impeaching Clinton left Gore with ---- on him. That lead to a Bush victory in 2000. Remember the win was razor thin (if even a win at all).

Impeach President Bucket of ----, spend the next 20 months rubbing his nose in his ----.

Have some ------- balls.

He's so "sickened" that he will continue to vote exactly how he is told to vote.

TRUTH

The object is to get rid of Trump and his spawn. If we don't, he'll be crowing all the way through his second term about how the Democrats tried and FAILED. FAILD, FAILED. It'll be Trump doing the nose rubbing ... not the Democrats.

Believe me, I'm not in favor of giving Trump any vacation from justice. But I also know that long term results are better than short term gains. Trump is a sociopath. He won't be fazed by any Articles of Impeachment investigation when he knows full well that McConnell has his back. He'll be right back doing business as usual.

This isn't about who has the brass balls. It's about being patient and smart. It's about the systematic and permanent destruction of a crime syndicate that is hell bent on doing the same thing to America.

Trump can be destroyed. But it won't be by any failed effort to impeach. First he has to be weakened and rendered impotent by the non-stop piling on of evidence . . . just like any other criminal defendent who thinks he's too smart to be brought down.

Another benefit to keeping Trump off balance, administratively weak and under siege is that all those post-presidency deals he's been making with Saudi Arabia and Russia will suddenly start to fade as Trump begins to look more and more like a poor, uncollateralized business partner with no favors to trade.

Ouch!

That's bound to hurt the ol' pocketbook.

Have some faith TRUTH

Now that the House and the media has access to all this red meat, with more to come, Trump is going to be systematically and viciously disemboweled throughout his remining time in office.

I wouldn't even be surprised if some patriotic unknown slips the full, unredacted Mueller Report 'over the transom' (so to speak) at some strategic media location.

You know what happens when the media sharks smell blood in the water.

If Mitt is sickened he can come out for impeachment.

Guys, guys, guys, don't expect Mitt to go at this alone. The best thing to happen in the 2020 election would be for a moderate repub to run.

Who wouldn't rather have someone like him over the trump types?

There are many repubs who are not trumpians. They are looking for another alternative other than a democrat that is only about lifestyle.

Mitt should be criticizing Obama for mocking him about Russia. I used to think Romney was a stand up guy and would make a good president, but he's just another member of the establishment ruling class.

Congress needs to do their constitutional duty and let the chips fall where they may.

Also. Just a side note. There is NO law that says a sitting President cannot be indicted for crimes. So that is only off the table as long as Barr is still protecting Trump. Barr may not survive this either.

And...It's a MEMO boys. Not a Law. So don't think anything is over it's not over. Probably never will be for Trump. (Looking at snippy and visitor).

It is Congress's duty to investigate these crimes. Investigate. Call witnesses. Starting with Mueller, of course. Let the chips fall where they may.

Shine a light on this criminal behavior of our President. If for no other reason so that Congress can draft laws to prevent this kind treasonous behavior in the future by any presidential candidate.

Which is more likely to result in a Democrat victory in 2020-being wimps or standing up and fighting?

Democrats consistently "play by the rules", act reasonably, compromise with Trumptilians. What does it get them? 2 Supreme Court picks that should be liberal but instead were picked by President Bucket of ----.

President Bucket of ---- will NEVER be indicted or impeached. Trumptilians in congress will assure his presidency isnt impotent. He MAY win in 2020. These are simple facts.

If you want to win in 2020 show independents you fight to win.

"...Trump is going to be systematically and viciously disemboweled..."

Simply not going to happen with democrats afraid to take a stand.

@#18 ... Simply not going to happen with democrats afraid to take a stand. ...

I'd say it is the Republicans who are afraid to take a stand against Pres Trump. I've been saying for months that the Republicans need to grow a backbone.

The Democrats know that, because the Republicans are afraid of Pres Trump, if they investigate Pres Trump, it could become a political boat anchor in 2020.

Unfortunately, we are in a major election cycle, and that moves the rules from "sane" to "insane."

Pres Trump has turned on attack mode against Sen Romney.

TRUTH

" Simply not going to happen with democrats afraid to take a stand. ... "

Democrats aren't afraid to take a stand. In spite of what we all see as concrete grounds for impeachment, the Muller Report did not give us the smoking gun that even the Republican Senate couldn't ignore.

I know how it looks. You don't see all the sound and fury you want. "Full speed ahead and damn the torpedoes" so to speak. However, jumping headlong into an impeachment battle right now is a recipe for failure. Trump is a slipery weasel. It's not just the Republican Senate that has to be convinced ~ it's also the voting public who has to see the full depth and breadth of Trump's self-serving criminal activity as seen through the eyes of the witnesses themselves. Otherwise, all they'll get is the bumper sticker cliches' served up by Trump's enabler. People are gullible. Some of the horrible things Trump has done (redacted) won't ever reach their ears without the kleig light of disclosure vis-a-vie House investigations in full televised view of the 'court of public opinion.'

Be patient. Just because the Democrats aren't calling their investigations "impeachment hearings," doesn't mean they aren't. In fact, this whole 2-year roller coaster ride has had only one purpose. IMPEACHMENT! But it isn't going to happen by going off half-cocked with insufficient ammunition.

As I said before, Democrats only have one chance. A swing and a miss isn't an option.

#21 | Posted by Twinpac at 2019-04-21 05:58 AM | Reply

Then there is the fact that Democrats will actually have access to more damning information and evidence on Trump with impeachment hearings, they will actually have access to Grand Jury testimony with impeachment hearings. Now we learn that Florida and Iowa(?) our elections hacked by Russians? And Republicans don't even want to do anything about it? Oh gee....why is that? We all know the reason. No, we cannot wait for another gerrymandered, voter suppressed, Interstate Crosschecked election. We need to find out all of the truth, the whole truth and punish those who allowed this to happen. Impeach now!
Those who call for patience now are mistaken, we wait they will cheat and win again.
