Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

The recent Planning Commission appointment debacle raises the same issue. There, a privileged white male (words that will immediately alienate many readers ... ) was appointed to join a commission full of privileged white people, myself included. The commission is now 6 of 7 white people. And a majority of the members, in a city of 1 million people covering 180 square miles, reside in one particular area of the city. The appointment process was a striking example of how those in power continue to hoard power. Our system was set up to deliberately exclude poor people and people of color. Today, the System is perpetuated by those of us who at best, do not recognize there is a problem and at worst, see it and perpetuate it.

I agree ... They have the numbers for some reason the Democrats don't let them lead.

Personally, I, a white guy, have personally stepped aside and have let my African-American girlfriend take the lead.

The reason? Quite simple. I like where she leads me.

As a result, I feel more privileged than ever before.

And yet men of pale are leading all the democrat primary polls.

Andrea and Nulli love identity politics.

Without them, they'd have nothing.

Does that make them racists?

Does that make them racists

Good question. My guess is the far eft, perhaps 10 percent of voters--and most of the DR Left, aren't representative of typical Democrat primary voters, who are more interested in bread and butter issues than identity politics.

Nancy Pelosi certainly doesn't think "progressives" are all that important.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) told CBS's "60 Minutes" that the left flank of the House Democratic caucus represented by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) is "like five people" in a Sunday interview.

Asked by Lesley Stahl about potential insurrections or pushback from the progressive wing of the party, Pelosi responded, "That's like five people."

Nulli. No one is more obsessed with identity politics than you and Andreà.

She constantly posts threads about it and you're constantly feigning outrage and yelling at the walls about how evil the left is.

If only freedom fighter Nulli knew what a cantankerous shill he'd grow up to become.

If all the white folk voted for the white candidate and all the black folk voted for the black candidate, are either racist?

Same question, but if one color voted 50/50 and the other voted 90% their color, is either racist?

If black women want to lead, then ok.

But why do they have to "step aside"?

Doesnt exactly have a feeling of working together.

The article seems to be accidentally positing that women of color can't ascend to the heights of power unless they don't have to compete with white men.

"But why do they have to "step aside""

It's called chivalry, an important part of which is courtesy. Some people see chivalry as weakness. I don't.

Nulli. No one is more obsessed with identity politics than you and Andreà.

Yes, but they're pushing back against it, not embracing it. The left has turned it into a contest; who is the most puritanically woke, who dies the most virtue signalling, who is the most offended....

#12 | POSTED BY NERFHERDER

No its not.

But lets play in your fantasyland.

Why don't Democrats vote for non-white males?
Have we ever had a Latino governor?

Why aren't there at least 10 latino congressmen representing Latinos?
Why don't we ever hear from them?

Why don't the Democrat white males step aside?

Democrats run the state, why isn't it as diverse as they demand corporations to be?

The article seems to be accidentally positing that women of color can't ascend to the heights of power unless they don't have to compete with white men.

The article posits, that its white mans world, they designed it, and they built it, it must be tore down.

One important way to begin to change the System is for our leaders to recognize that it might not be them that should be taking up a seat at a table at this point in time.

"but they're pushing back against it, not embracing it"

In other words, it offends their puritanical woke-ness, so, being so offended, they proceed to go on a public forum and do their own type of virtue signalling against other people's virtue signalling that offends them (usually by giving each other incessant NEWSWORTHY flags to amplify what they believe is the of innate veracity their particular position).

Why don't Democrats vote for non-white males?

We do. There are many non white non Christian males and females serving as Democrats in the government, both local and federal.

Have we ever had a Latino governor?

We have Latino mayors and congressional representatives.

Why aren't there at least 10 latino congressmen representing Latinos?

I haven't counted them because clearly you're obsessed with identity politics. But I'm willing to bet there's at least 10 Latino congressional representatives.

Why don't we ever hear from them?

Every time AOC speaks up you must be under your rock?

Why don't the Democrat white males step aside?

Have you looked at the 2018 midterm results? Or are you posting from under your rock still?

The Democrats have massive numbers of people from all different races, genders, and sexualities winning seats in the government, across the nation.

Have you taken a moment to look at the Republican line up?

Democrats run the state, why isn't it as diverse as they demand corporations to be?

There is. Again. You seem to be posting from a position of sheer ignorance.

Was that your plan?

#17 | Posted by ClownShack at 2019-04-16 10:59 AM | Reply

Yes, but they're pushing back against it, not embracing it.

You must be kidding. No one screeches more about identity politics than Andreà.

She's also blossoming into quite the SJW.

The left has turned it into a contest;

The right has insisted the left has turned it into a contest and then complains about the top contenders for 2020 being white males.

Republicans are so worried about identity, they insist on coaching democrats on how to judge it correctly.

who is the most puritanically woke, who dies the most virtue signalling, who is the most offended....

The answer to all your questions is, Trumpublicans.

During the 20th century, the chivalrous ideal of protecting women came to be seen as a trope of melodrama ("damsel in distress"). The term chivalry retains a certain currency in sociology, in reference to the general tendency of men, and of society in general, to lend more attention offering protection from harm to women than to men, or in noting gender gaps in life expectancy, health, etc., also expressed in media bias giving significantly more attention to female than to male victims (see also missing white woman syndrome)

In this era of feminism, Chivalry is too often being used as a weapon to even physical scores against men. If you are competing against a woman for a title or honor, chivalry has no place. Chivalry was an acknowlegement from the stronger sex to the weaker sex that the weaker sex was indeed weaker, but we would be willing to protect them nonetheless. But in this new world of equality, women competing with men use the "You would hit a woman?" phrase and then proceed to beat up the man to achieve her aims.

Chivalry isnt dead, it's alive and well in women to still are women, not the butch, unmanageable, unreasonable and selfish women the left is putting out these days.

You come at me like a man, I'm going to treat you like one.

Oh, I do. Maybe not what you liberals are trying to redefine it to be, but I know what it means and why it's there.

Boaz,

"Doesnt exactly have a feeling of working together."

I read if you claim to be "colorblind" you are racist.

Asking why can't we "work together" is probably racist too.

This racism argument there is no win win solution.

The heretofore wokest class of politicians prior to AOC, Ilhan Omar, etc., are now the first ones to take aim at "women of color". That's hilarious, especially considering the former helped to usher in and shower superlatives upon the latter. Someone in another thread on which I commented scoffed at the observation that there's an ongoing race-war within the democratic party. I'm more astounded by the fact that none of you seem to have learned from history: the initial crop of revolutionaries is "thanked" by their successors with a bullet in the back of the neck and a shallow grave. White democrats will either become supremely cucked, or find out the hard way.

It would be worth it if women of color took over just too piss off the all of the racists in the alt-right (R)tard movement and watch them blow a fuse.

Comrade's Boazo, Fat Andy Mattress, Jeffry, FishyP, Pinto, FakeLawyer, Sawdust, Elerby etc etc's tiny brains will explode. It will be like a bunch of tiny bugs hitting a bug zapper, hardly a noticeable spark.

Neither gender nor race nor religion nor sexual identity make a good politician.

You must judge each other on who the person is. Not what the person is.
