Louisiana Gov. Bel Edwards on Thursday described the three fires that destroyed predominantly black churches in rural Louisiana as an "evil act" committed by the son of a sheriff's deputy.

CBS News reports that Matthews' father turned him in to the authorities. CBS said a gas can clued his father in to his son's involvement.

Where/how was the kid radicalized?

Something tells me LE in St. Landry's parish has that "special" southern flavor.

#1 LOL Once again, CBS got it wrong. I watched the press conference today and the governor wanted to clarify unfounded rumors that his father turned him in. He was found through tips and the diligence of the agencies and officers handling the case. Not his father.

America has a terrorist problem. It is radical white nationalist men.

I doubt Fat Nixon is going to pillory this guy as a Radical White Nationalist Terrorist.

CBS got it wrong.

ABC reported this morning that at one of the three churches burned bibles and hymn books were found. In depth reporting at its finest.

Trump needs to close the Louisiana border until we get this whole thing figured out.

Guy was into death metal.

He could have been attempting to replicate the fires set by other(s?) like him in the 90's (80's?) in Scandinavia.

I see no evidence he's a Pagan just un-Christian......is there something I should know?

"1 LOL Once again, CBS got it wrong."

LOL haw many times has Fixed Gnus gotten it wrong (and never corrected it??)

Developing stories such as these are ALWAYS subject to getting it wrong initially as everyone wants to get it out there and be first.

A reputable news organization will immediately issue a correction of any initial errors (which David Begnaud of CBS News did about 3 hours ago).
