Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Tuesday, April 09, 2019

Thousands of asylum-seeking children could be headed to Dallas as the federal government looks to relieve pressure on a bloated immigration system and overwhelmed nonprofit shelters along the U.S.-Mexico border. Other cities being looked at are Phoenix, Arizona and Atlanta, Georgia. HHS is considering adding shelters to avoid using temporary shelters, like the Tornillo tent city.

#4 No, it's what some of us have been saying all along: Obama like a lot of Dems aren't for open borders. Neither is Bernie.

The Hill @thehill

Sen. Bernie Sanders campaigns in Oskaloosa, IA: "If you open the borders, there's a lot of poverty in this world, and you're going to have people from all over the world. And I don't think that's something that we can do at this point. Can't do it."

Why is it happening on Trump's watch? Hes the one who promised to stop it.

Remember? "Build the wall" then he waited 2 years.

The problem lies in our asylum laws. The invaders found a legal loophole and are exploiting it. In the past people who were attempting to enter illegally were almost exclusively young men looking for work. The numbers may be a bit lower than before but the problem is much, much worse.

#9 | Posted by JeffJ at 2019-04-09 10:48 AM | Reply | Newsworthy 1

--Why is it happening on Trump's watch?

Because the Dems have done such a great job of welcoming them. "Bring the whole family! It's a get out of jail free card."

"If you don't show for your asylum hearing, just go to a sanctuary city or state. We have your back."

"Stay under the radar for a few years and we have a nice, big amnesty waiting for yoo as soon as we get the White House."

Nulli, so the Democrats beat Trump up and took his lunch money?

That's hilarious. Why hasn't he followed through on his commitments? All because of the Democrats ? I didnt realize they were that good. Two years full Republican control and he did nothing. That's what needs to be addressed

According to the Merrium-Webster Dictionary an invasion is:

1) "especially: an incursion of an army for conquest or plunder".
2) ":the incoming spread of something unusually hurtful".

Seems reasonable though, an Invader, one who invades in large numbers, especially with intrusive effect.

He used the word Invader, not invasion ... big difference ...

invaded; invading
Definition of invade
transitive verb

1 : to enter for conquest or plunder
2 : to encroach upon : INFRINGE
3a : to spread over or into as if invading : PERMEATE
doubts invade his mind
b : to affect injuriously and progressively
gangrene invades healthy tissue

This problem has been decades in the making. But, the Trump funding threat applied only aid to the poor. There was never any intention of cutting off supplies to the paramilitary police State the US installed and supports in those countries.

Streamline the asylum process by hiring more asylum officers. Only 5-10% end up with legitimate asylum claims, so process them quicker and get the ones in that are legally entitled to it.

Crisis ameliorated; well probably not. At least mitigated.

The Wall will do nothing.

Trump has actually generated this crisis. The actual number of Illegal Immigrants was falling until he took office. Now what has he done that would prompt so many people try to get into the US now? Is it the endless threats? Or is it worsening conditions at home? Both?

#27 | Posted by GalaxiePete at 2019-04-09 05:15 PM | Reply | Newsworthy 3

"I'm the one that stopped it," Trump said. "President Obama had child separation."

Asked whether the administration was considering reinstating the policy of child separation to curb the number of migrant families crossing the border from Mexico, Trump responded that "We're not looking to do it."

But he seemed to imply it was an effective means of stemming border crossings, and he compared families attempting to cross into the U.S. to visitors to an amusement park. "I'll tell you something, once you don't have it that's why you have many more people coming. They are coming like it's a picnic, like, 'Let's go to Disneyland.' President Obama separated children. They had child separation; I was the one that changed it," Trump said.

The answer is simple.

Tax 75% any money sent outside of the U.S. through MoneyGrams or other cash transfer tools.

In America, WE do not tax these tools but in the receiving countries they have VAT taxes with each transfer.

If we started collecting these taxes, it would not make economic sense to work in America because you can't send the money back home...

FYI if you cross the border, you are only allowed to take out $10k. Citizens and illegals alike. You can't convert to diamonds or gold and take it out of the country... you's never make it across the border before being shot and robbed.

Tax MoneyGrams and you take away the incentive for most workers trying to cross our borders.

You could also ask for a picture ID and a valid SSN to send money outside the US. Failure to do so would allow confiscation of the entire money transfer (Asset Forfeiture).

Republicl°wns have a drug problem they need to address first... address that and it will slow down.

BTW the drugs are coming in via shipping ports of entry not with the families seeking asylum. The family are running from the laisses faire business environment fueling the violence... women are especially vulnerable.

Personally... I think just letting the OD's die would go a long way in disrupting the customer base. There are an estimated 2.6 million opium addicts in the nation... most of them white because doctors were reluctant to prescribe them to people of other races. Ironic no?
Now they are taking the legal sources away from them and so ... used to getting their way... they are driving the market.

Every 17 minutes someone overdoses... roughly 85 a day... 31,000 a year... stop rescuing them... let them die...a few of years of that... a lot of problems solved.

If we put in more defensive layers to the illegal immigration, like oh, I don't know, a wall...the camps wouldn't be as necessary. Of course we still need some because the Dems work very hard at making sure more illegals come in so they can get votes, but at least we could bring down the number we need and possibly make them a little more comfortable for those trying to get in.
