Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Monday, April 08, 2019

"The first," he writes in an op-ed in the Omaha World-Herald, "is that Americans long for a president who will ask us to pay more for the pleasure of increasing the role of the federal government in our lives." He cites as examples the foolish push for the Green New Deal, wealth taxes and Medicare-for-all, all of which are being embraced by 2020 candidates. .... The Dems' second delusion, he says, "is that Americans were robbed of the truth when Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller and Attorney General William Barr concluded that President Trump did not collude with Russia in 2016." .... "Congress needs to investigate how the Department of Justice got this one so wrong," he writes. "If the president of the United States is vulnerable to prosecutorial abuse, then God help all the rest of us."

"2. How can we write clear rules that govern the behavior of the candidate or officeholder? Tweets can and do stoke the fire of the mob. That is what they are intended to do. When the chief law enforcement officer encourages his audience to chant "lock her up," this signals the FBI to follow the mob.

When he sends out tweets that encourage law enforcement to investigate political opponents, this is also mob rule. Rules of acceptable behavior do not apply just to the president but to Congress as well. In the Twitter age, all of us need to understand when our candidate has crossed the line."

1) Barr's handling of this has been awful.

2) Just release the full report. Simple solution.

I think God will help the rest of us.

Starting with Donald Trump in prison.

Your statement is a bit of inane propaganda.

We shall know the truth and, likely as not, Donald Trump will no longer be free.

Your posting history gives more than ample reason for all the names I've leveled against you.

Trump cultists are currently the biggest threat our country faces.

Looks like someone has his DRama dialed up to "11".

Back on topic, this place cracks me up: On March 21, when Senator Kerrey took Trump to task demanding that Trump show proof of his alleged "bone spurs", the loonies on the DR Left were ready to canonize him.

Now that he says that the Democrats are deluded in claiming that "Americans were robbed of the truth" in the Mueller report and that "Congress needs to investigate how the Department of Justice got this one so wrong," he is now crazy and out of touch.

He hasn't read the Report. So how he knows who got what wrong eludes me.

Whereas, everybody already knew that Trump lied about his medical condition to dodge the draft.

I tend to agree with the cited article. At this point, the Democrats really need to get their collective act together.

Maybe once the debates begin (June 2019), there will be a culling of the over-crowded field, and the better candidates and policies will come to the fore.

That's assuming entirely that you're smart enough to accurately assess our current reality.

Your continued insistence that everything will turn out "normally" is completely at odds with the abnormalcy of our current situation.

Namely an increasingly mentally unstable "leader" who's basically entirely in control of the government agency most responsible for internal security, a DoJ run by a stooge, a political party absolutely dead set on not checking said "leader", an opposition party who's too busy sitting in a circle trying to out minority each other to be an effective check on said "leader" and a populace so burdened with drooling, brain dead morons (see andreawindsock) that they don't care how things turn out so long as it doesn't interrupt their TV time.

And no, none of that means I think Trump is going to take over and start shoving people into camps. It's simply an acknowledgement of how f---ed everything is right now.

Impossible for things to turn out normally when we are a far cry from normal right now.

Who was canonizing Kerrey for pointing out the obvious? Is exposing Trumps criminal tax reporting considered lunacy? Trump had his medical records stolen to keep that little secret quiet. Remember when he inexplicably had his own private physicians office raided? What crazy stuff is in his medical records? Other than no bone spurs, obviously. Maybe early onset dementia?

Also, since we don't know any of the content of the Mueller report how could you know if it exonerates or condemns? Barr is his willing stooge, and four pages doth not an FBI report make.

The truth is that Trump hides his education records, medical records and those precious tax records. Because Trump is a liar, tax cheat with multiple bankruptcies and was always unfit for Presidential office?

I just want to see the damn report. I highly doubt theres anything in it that many on the left EXPECT to see but I'm willing to bet theres damaging evidence against Trump along with others. And I dont think its limited to one party.

My 2 cents
