President Donald Trump said the U.S. is "full," and can't accommodate any more migrants from Latin America, capping a week of heated threats against Mexico over undocumented migration and the flow of illegal drugs.

Trump administration nearly doubles H-2B guest visa program, which brings many Mexican workers
www.washingtonpost.com

...As President Trump threatened to shut down the U.S.-Mexico border in recent days, his Department of Homeland Security nearly doubled the number of temporary guest worker visas available this summer.

DHS and the Labor Department plan to grant an additional 30,000 H-2B visas this summer on top of the 33,000 H-2B visas they had planned to give out, the agencies confirmed.

The H-2B visa is for foreign workers to come to the United States and work for several months at a company such as a landscaper, amusement park or hotel. About 80 percent of these visas went to people from Mexico and Central America last year, government data show....

Why did environmentalists stop talking about overpopulation and the environmental problems caused by it? Was it because the basic facts about population and resources changed? Or was it political correctness?

This is for you OpenBorder idiots ... I hope the massive immigration throttles you and your childrens children...

I am set for life, I don't complain for myself, I complain for your children, and your childrens children, because you are to stupid too.

Then one day you'll open your eyes and get it... but it will be too late.

This is written by an Indian, she gets it, she thinks we are becoming nationalistic, she understands why its happening in her country too. Its not a pretty blog post from any perspective, but its the truth.

And No Donnerboy ... you know someone from India.

A 31-year-old techie of Indian origin who had just secured her H1B called upon an Uber to visit her friends. The Uber arrived at the scheduled time. It was driven by a white American man probably 25-year-old. As the driver started the journey after the pickup, he assumed that his passenger was probably a student because Lafayette is basically a university town. As his curiosity got better of him, he asked,

To which, the passenger replied that she was actually a software professional working for a large software company. The driver was surprised but didn't say anything. The passenger later told me that by all possibility the driver probably was driving Uber to pay for his college and most likely had a dream of becoming just like her. What she told after this surprised me and it would not be wrong to say, probably it somewhat frightened me as well. She said that there was no way in the world that this "White People" could compete with the Indian, Japanese or Koreans and get a decent job.
thelogicalindian.com

Nulli and I have been through the battles and scares of this valley, we understand whats happening here.

And here's the truth, you don't have what it takes Donnerboy, because if you did, you'd be competing. Instead you complain about the middle class disappearing and low wages. While the good paying jobs go to H1B's supporting companies like Google, Facebook, Netflix et al, freezing out US citizens who are drowning in college debt.

If you are just starting out in STEM in the US, you may as well stay home like Snoofy or Kudzu, or grow pot like Donnerboy ..

If you are a liberal on this blog proposing socialist solutions. You can't handle the truth, you suck, that is why you complain about a losing hand, losing wages and losing middle class, and want me to give you free stuff.

You can't compete any more, the rest of the world knows it.

"Does immigration hurt the environment?

Anti-immigration groups in the US are trying to co-opt the environmental movement

In fact, it's debatable whether immigration has any significant environmental impact. US government scientists say there's insufficient evidence (pdf) to draw a conclusion one way or the other, while cornucopian economists like Julian Simon - a free-marketeer who's loathed by most environmentalists - have argued that immigration-fuelled population increases will make little or no long-term difference to the US environment.

It's even been suggested that on a global scale, immigration helps to slow population growth. Immigrants from the developing world tend to reproduce more slowly than they would have done if they'd stayed home, while their remittances promote economic development and slow population growth in their home countries.

I am not sure what you mean by "competing". Is that what you call figuring how to to play the Rigged Game?

My participation in the workforce is almost over. I have leveled up tremendously. I no longer need to be "employed" by anyone. I have kicked ass and taken names and I don't "need" to work another day my life. I do not fear anyone ever taking my job. I challenge them to try!! Someone will replace me though..Poor Devil. But, I will leave the workforce when I want to and not a day sooner...I love my work and what I do to make America and the world a better place for everyone.

my job is one of my 8 Noble Paths

right livelihood

And so I work because I choose too. I don't actually have a job. I have a career.

Do you remember those?

"freezing out US citizens who are drowning in college debt."

Maybe they never learned how to properly "compete"?

Maybe they didn't study the right thing? If they are "drowning in debt" didn't they obviously make poor life choices? You guys really need to to get your hate speeches better coordinated.

The issue I have with the op-ed you cite is that it seems to equate diversity with failure.

I went to a technical high school (Brooklyn Tech en.wikipedia.org ), it was male-only at the time. Back in the day, Engineering schools were mostly male-only.

Now they are coed.

The author of the article you cite seems to consider that to be the wrong type of progress.

And why do I feel the need to take a shower after reading an op-ed piece on pjmedia?

More like the world is full. We should really just look at relocations to make the world balanced, so that we are spread throughout the world. Hell, start making pockets of Liberals, Conservatives, etc. and give them all their own area where they can thrive and live in the utopia that is their political persuasion. One thing I've learned from living in a fairly large city is that no matter how packed an area is, it can always become more so.

That happened already, organically, and now the liberal pockets have to pick up the economic slack perpetuated by the conservative pockets; preventing utopia for the deserved.

"More like the world is full."

The world is NOT full.

There are enough resources on this planet that we could ALL live like kings. Every one of us. But, not when 99% of all the wealth is controlled by the 1%.

Hers is a thought experiment for you. Pretend we all arrived at Earth on a spaceship together. We would naturally scan the planet for all its' resources. Then we would land and start feeding and clothing ourselves and building cities. Do you think that 1% of us would be able to control all the resources and dole out meager rations to the rest if they already knew there was enough to go around for everyone? You think the crew from the "bridge" would be able to control it all and keep it for themselves?

Not likely. They would need to lie and deceive the others... maybe create a Religion and power structure with something to keep score with (like money) in order to keep the masses ignorant of the Truth that the ones "in charge" could all be living like kings while the Others did their laundry?

Sound familiar yet?

"The world has enough for everyone's need, but not enough for everyone's greed." -Gandhi

You are just selfish and really do not care for the Other...and all that tough thinking about all those poor people leaves you with a very uncomfortable thought (assuming you can actually think and don't just turn away in disgust):

People living in high-income nations will have to play their part and share the earths resources if the world is to sustain a large human population in a dignified life style. Only when wealthier groups are prepared to adopt low-carbon lifestyles, low earth impact policies and to permit their governments to support such a seemingly unpopular move such as sharing resources, will we ever be able to reduce the pressure on global climate, resource and waste issues and provide for our human population.

So let's not do any of that.

Let's just keep pretending that the problem is because there are just too many of us.
