President Trump can't let his grudge against the late senator John McCain go. In a tweet Saturday afternoon, Trump quoted former independent counsel Ken Starr, who criticized the Arizona Republican on a recent Fox News show.

Don't worry, he's going to bomb Iran and we're going to call it the McCain Memorial War.

Trump chastised McCain for his no vote on a bare-bones repeal of President Barack Obama's signature healthcare legislation, wrongly describing it as a "thumbs down on repeal and replace after years of campaigning to repeal and replace!"

Spreading the fake and totally discredited Dossier "is unfortunately a very dark stain against John McCain." Ken Starr, Former Independent Counsel. He had far worse "stains" than this, including thumbs down on repeal and replace after years of campaigning to repeal and replace!

-- Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 16, 2019

A. Republicans, after years of disparaging the PPACA (Patient Protection & Affordable Care Act, which benefits everyone with health insurance), had NO replacement plan.

B. The Steele dossier was initiated and pad for by a company Trump's Republican opponents hired. Steele, former head of the Russian desk at MI6 and someone with vast knowledge of their intelligence services, was alarmed enough to contact the FBI.

Trump is such a small man he feels the need to disparage anyone who came before him. America isn't buying it.

Says the orange sloth that doesn't want anyone to see his high school or college transcripts or his tax returns.

No doubt about it, John McCain benefited from his father's steller military career. But the way he carried himself as a prisoner of war and thereafter is commendable, especially his courageous votes, where he single handedly prevented the orange sloth from killing Obamacare, while suffering from fatal cancer. That's how I will always remember him.

How is it Trumpublicans are so hopelessly ignorant?

How much stupid did Republicans unearth in the past 11 years?

We have not pissed on his grave at all. We have only recited true stories about him.

Here are some highlights:
He raised the debt ceiling 19 times giving us our first trillion dollar deficit.
He presided over one of the most corrupt administrations in US history
His Iran/Contra policies are responsible for the current drug trafficing problem we have in in Latin America and the refugee crisis at our southern border.
He attacked a British protectorate in violation of international law killing hospitalized mental patients to distract from the Beirut bombing where 240 Marines died.
Then there is the legacy of voodoo economics.
Support of South African apartheid and the blatently racist meme of calling young men Americans of African decent "young bucks"... and the invention of the Cadillac driving welfare queen.

The only thing that saved his legacy was the mercy of God giving him Alzheimer's and Bush 1 pardoning Casper Weinberger saving his beleaguered "legacy" from damaging testimony.

Just because it pisses you off... doesn't mean its pissing on him... its just his story.

Actually Obama probably did more to open people's eyes about just how crooked Reagan's administration was because every time he did something that sent the clown brigade reeling ... all we had to do was cite the Reagan enacted policies he adopted that gave him permission.

Maybe that is why you hate Obama... he framed the Reagan nastiness so well.

Republicans TALK a good talk, but the reality is they leave us in a hole every time they have unified control of government. And the only time they squawk about debt is when they're out of power. As Dick Cheney said, "Ronald Reagan proved deficits don't matter" Well, until the GOP are out of power, that is.

The national debt, which was under $1 trillion when Reagan took office, ballooned to 3X that amount during his presidency. The budget soared due to his military buildup.

Clinton got it under control, and the entire national debt was $5.6 trillion when he left office, deficits at $0.

When W and Republicans took over government, the budget doubled and so did the national debt. Their two rounds of tax cuts on top of that created systemic deficits for as far as the eye can see.

Obama got annual deficits down to 1/3 what they were when he took office ($1.4 trillion), but Republicans once again got to slashing taxes, so we're back up over $1 trillion again.

"Ronald Reagan has been dead for decades and the left is still 'pissing on his grave' - so what's your point?"

Reagan gets a lot of flak, and deservedly so, but his wife Nancy's astrologer deserves a lot of credit for ending the Cold War.
It was the astrologer's idea to have Mr. and Mrs. Reagan sit down for dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Gorbachev.

Nancy did a lot of propping up that man... and I know there were a lot of rumors about Joan Q... including that she was consulted on what time to bring him out from anesthesia when he was in surgery for the wounds suffered assassination attempt... and if that is true then she may also be responsible for sending his mind into the murky place.
The older you are the more at risk you are of losing it when going under for extended periods.

Trumplethinskin is losing it now... you can see it in the way he talks... which I why we need someone younger... we need a gen x or fresher.

Offensive. John McCain, with all his faults, was an American. And a Hero. And he served America all his life. McCain was a public servant. Something you and the deplorables will never understand. Serving your country.

I did not like McCains politics. I disagreed with him a lot and on many levels and I called him a Mr Magoo. Because I viewed him as old and a bit naive and out of touch. I am so glad he did not become our president. But John McCain gave me some hope for America when he did a very simple thing. He decided to not accept the lies and hate being spewed and fostered by the Fox Hate machine about Obama. And he did it in PUBLIC when he told the poor old lady (who was just a victim of Fox News Lies) that Obama was not a Muslim terrorist coming for her guns and bibles andalk the white women.

And he sealed the deal with in our hearts and history with a simple thumbs down to anorher Trump Lie, The No Health Care plan.

You must be so happy our President is nothing but a big troll -----

lol ...Kinda justifies your own trolling and ---------- heh?

Strong economic boom. Fiscal house back in order as it pertained to runaway inflation. Instrumental in the collapse of Communism.

I'm open to hearing how the direction his administration set is still damaging people's lives.

Volcker's Handling of the Great Inflation Taught Us Much

Unbeknownst to many, last fall was the silver anniversary of a watershed moment in Fed history and the economic history of the country. On Oct. 6, 1979, Fed Chairman Paul Volcker took dramatic steps to rein in the runaway inflation that had been sapping the strength of our economy since the mid-1960s. Without his bold change in monetary policy and his determination to stick with it through several painful years, the U.S. economy would have continued its downward spiral. By reversing the misguided policies of his predecessors, Volcker set the table for the long economic expansions of the 1980s and 1990s.

#24 In his memoirs Reagan noted that the fiscal policies that turned our economy around and halted runaway inflation were started at the end of Carter's term. He felt it was unfair to Carter that he got all of the credit for the turnaround when all he did was keep Volcker and support his tough-love economic policies.

Most people don't realize that Jimmy Carter, by appointing Volcker, effectively destroyed his chances for reelection while simultaneously saving the economy that was the millstone that Ford and Nixon left to be placed around his neck. According to historians, Ted Kennedy was so pissed that Volcker was appointed (in large part because he correctly saw that Volcker's interest rate shock would decimate his manufacturing voters base in NE) that he decided shortly thereafter to run against Carter in the 1980 primaries.
