The Mueller probe appears to be in the home stretch. Some Trump aides and advisers have been making that claim for more than a year, with little basis. But the signs are mounting that it's finally happening.

I wish the rumor mill would make up it's mind. So far all I hear is a bunch of wishful thinking.

When I see it is when I'll believe it.

How many times have we heard this supposition?

I think boaz has been at it longer than "almost 2 years."

I was talking to a friend of mine who was an AUSA here in Los Angeles last night and he told me that Andrew Weissman leaving the investigation indicated to him that they have obtained (but perhaps not unsealed) all of the indictments that this investigation was going to get.

That does not, by any stretch of the imagination, mean that Donnie Little Hands and his family are in the clear, but if there are any further indictments they will be dropped soon, if at all.

According to recent court filings, they still have use for Gates in the whole campaign/Russia connection scenario. Guess we'll find out soon enough if Mueller is done with his part or not. He's handed off other crucial investigations to the SDNY and DC, so they're probably running with other aspects beyond Russian collusion.

Agreed, but the implication here is that Mueller's team is wrapping up...that will have zero impact on the other investigations which could result in additional indictments.

Former workmates with Robert Mueller say he is very frugal with the way investigation resources are spent. So you could be right. All of his legal staff is on loan from other law firms. If their expertise is no longer necessary ... or if they're "on call," . . . I don't think it's unusual to see one or two going back to their own practice.

I wouldn't construe this investigation nearing the end. As AMERICAN UNITY pointed out, there's still a long road ahead as other witnesses negotiate to give up what they know.

Well if by any measure of the level of desperation in Fat Nixon's twittler ravings over the weekend, something big is coming soon.

He was in off the rails meltdown mode.

Such a stable genius you nimrods elected.

Willful ignorance of the indictments, arrests, convictions and guilty please that have been obtained in the past two years.

But hey, let's cheer on another investigation into Hillary's emails. Maybe this time they can find the wedding planning emails.

Too late. Devin Nunes already got neutered with a rusty scalpel. ~

Full snowflake mode! And worry that his base is going to shrink just a little bit more. His internal polls probably told him the walls are closing in . . . something big AND bad.
