This means he lied all through the campaign.

We all know the truth. The Republicans in the Senate don't have the guts to override his veto, they are cowards. Come election time, voters should be reminded of the cowardice their Senators display. Trump is obviously using the Emergency Powers in an unlawful manner and his veto should be over ridden but you need honest Senators to do that and unfortunately we have a bunch of sold out cowards. ]

BTW, Lindsey Graham, just come out of the closet and stop being a tool for Trump. I would respect you more if you came out than I can this pathetic excuse for a sychophant that you have turned into lately. You are truly a pathetic excuse for a man.

That so-called 'signing ceremony' in the Oval Office today was nothing more than Kabuki Theater. You DON'T sign a bill from Congress when you 'veto' it, you stamp it with a special rubber stamp and send it back, UNSIGNED. Trump just likes to see his signature in that heavy black Sharpie ink.

Actually, it would probably be easier to get the needed votes in the Senate to override the veto than it will be in the House.

I wouldn't count on either. Profiles in courage are a rare commodity in Trump's Republican party. The pain of supporting Trump hasn't hit them yet where it hurts the most ~ in their re-election money coffers.

That headline is akin to Preznit Trumplethinskin just took his first ------ in the toi toi.

Actually, his veto is a declaration that he can do whatever he wants and the Republicans will not stand up to him. He is experiencing glee at his new found power to rule, to fund as a dictator without the constraints of Congress. Republicans in Congress are forfeiting their own power to him, it's a sad day for America. When Congress is too cowardly to defend its own turf we are in deep doo doo.

It's called "crossing the Rubicon" except that Trump is hardly a Julius Ceasar.

Julius Ceasar knew how to build walls. Once he built a wall around his enemy to starve them into surrender and while doing so he had to build another around his army to protect them from an attacking army.

If that is true, then the courts will do their part.

Trump is more akin to Caligula, imo.

He would show up at a wedding to not just deflower the bride, but also the groom and then crap on their cake.

"On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron." HL Mencken

BushII invented the IDIOT PRESIDENCY. TRUMP HAS PERFECTED IT.

The fact that they are always Republicans does not reflect well on Conservative philosophy.
