At least 49 people were killed and 20 seriously injured in two mass shootings at mosques in the New Zealand city of Christchurch. The victims: Forty-one people were killed at the al Noor mosque. Seven people died at the Linwood mosque, and one person died from their injuries in hospital. The suspects: Police said four people were taken into custody -- three men and one woman. They do not believe there are any other suspects but said it was still an open investigation. The charges: Police said a male in his late 20s has been charged with murder and will appear at the Christchurch court Saturday morning local time. The manifesto: In a social media post just before the attack, an account that is believed to belong to one of the attackers posted a link to an 87-page manifesto that was filled with anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim ideas and explanations for an attack. The manifesto was not signed.

One of Trump's people did this, by the murderer's own identification.

"an 87-page manifesto that was filled with anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim ideas and explanations for an attack."

Trump, some Republicans, and other international Fascists use this same kind of fearmongering on a daily basis.

I just read several pages of this guy's so called manifesto and watched the full video and not one word of President Trump was mentioned. Don't know where some of posters here are getting their informational facts but it's not from any part of his manifesto that I read. There are dozens of pages to read. But hey don't let that stop you from spreading false news about President Trump and or his supporters. Because when you do you are spreading the fear mongering. Just ask Jussie how well that works.

In the manifesto, Mr. Tarrant offers qualified support for U.S. President Donald Trump as "a symbol of renewed white identity and common purpose," but "as a policymaker and leader, dear god no."

"President Donald Trump tweeted out a link to the anti-Muslim Breitbart News website shortly after news broke about a massacre at a New Zealand mosque.
The shooting, which left 49 people dead, was live-streamed on Facebook, and the gunman apparently posted a manifesto on the far-right-friendly 8chan forum and set up other social media accounts to promote the screed ahead of the massacre."

You're just pissed that you're gonna have to eventually admit that you're supporting a conman and a monster.

It's simply undeniable that Trump and other politicians like him around the world are fomenting hatred and violence like this is the inevitable end.

Zed you're delusional in a comical sort of way. Your racism and bigotry, along with the others on the left, is what got Trump elected and will get him elected again. Trump had nothing to do with the whack job in New Zealand. Just like he had nothing to do with Jussie.

More about the manifesto:

The 74-page manifesto left behind after the attack was littered with conspiracy theories about white birthrates and "white genocide." It was the latest sign that a lethal vision of white nationalism has spread internationally. Its title, "The Great Replacement," echoed the title of a book by a far-right French polemicist, as well as the rallying cry of, among others, the torch-bearing protesters who marched in Charlottesville in 2017.

US Republican Congressman Steve King visited Vienna on his trip through Europe at the end of August. On August 24th, he offered a comprehensive interview exclusively to unzensuriert about his views on Europe, Trump, mass migration, nationalism and the Great Replacement. You can read the full interview right here:

Rep. Steve King Goes Full White Nationalist In Interview With Austrian Site

The interview, published in September, came to HuffPost's attention this week. In his conversation with Sommerfeld, King discussed his belief in the superiority of European culture over others. He talked fearfully of falling fertility rates in the West and spoke at length about his belief that Europe and America are threatened by Muslim and Latino immigration.

"If we don't defend Western civilization, then we will become subjugated by the people who are the enemies of faith, the enemies of justice," King said.

The idea of the Great Replacement is imagined most vividly in The Camp of the Saints, a stunningly racist 1973 novel by Jean Raspail that "reframes everything as the fight to death between races," said Cécile Alduy, a professor of French at Stanford University and an expert on France's far right. It describes the takeover of Europe by waves of immigrants that "wash ashore like the plague."

Gal, thank you for driving home this sad but true aspect of how racism persists -- and in some cases, like Steve Bannon, still flourishes.

Bannon is gone from the WH but Stephen Miller isn't, nor is Bannon's Breitbart protégé Julia Hahn:

Birth of a Radical
White Fear in the White House: Young Bannon Disciple Julia Hahn Is a Case Study in Extremism

The Breitbart reporter was Julia Hahn, a Bannon protégé who followed him into the White House as a special assistant to President Trump... .Hahn has gotten almost no notice for writing what appears to be the longest and most laudatory article about "The Camp of the Saints" that has appeared in the American media in recent years. The few in-depth stories about her getting a job at the White House have mostly focused on her lashing criticism of Paul Ryan, the House speaker whose conservative positions on immigration were far too permissive for Bannon, Hahn, and the rest of Breitbart.

Trump Plan to Win the Shutdown: A Noun, a Verb, and ‘Caravan'

As it all played out, some of Trump's closest aides and advocates were laying the groundwork for placing political pressure on Democrats. On Friday afternoon, White House official and immigration restrictionist Julia Hahn blasted out an email to surrogates and allies that compiled roughly a dozen quotes from President Trump on "border security," which included Trump commenting on the great "enthusiasm" that the issue of the wall and immigration crackdown fuel in the Republican Party, according to a source who saw the email.

You're learning things many of the people on the right will never know!

And that's another way racism persists. People are blind to it. Some willfully so, for example if they choose not to read your links.

"Bla bla bla. Spam spam spam."

Spam, perhaps, to folks who hang out at rightwing websites and already know the white supremacist underpinnings of the Trump administration and their supporters in Congress like Rep Steve King.

Here's a summary of what you all my spam posts:

The terrorist in NZ's manifesto echoes the title of the book "The Great Replacement", a concept King referred to in an interview last fall. It's also a concept depicted in a novel entitled "The Camp of the Saints", which Bannon referenced on his radio show in 2015 (you can hear the audio in #28), and which his protégé Julia Hahn, now a special assistant to the president, reviewed glowingly for Breitbart back in the day when the online rag billed itself as "the platform for the alt-right".

Cheers!
