Why would they want to fund science that they have already decided they're going to ignore? Who needs facts when you're already got all the alternative facts you need.

And don't pick on Snippy. He spels pretty gud for someone from St. Petersburg.

Some of the most important and underfunded research is basic research that doesn't produce any immediate fungible results but enables breakthroughs in other areas of research later that would never happen without it.

Doesn't help to attack your "argument" when you really don't have one now does it?

You suggest that our government is so weak it cannot "foght a war" and that all?? "science" should be left to this thing you call "Private Industry".

Is that your position?

Government should do nothing? Seriously? That's an argument?

You are an moron.

You and your know nothing party certainly deserves extinction. But, it is really selfish of you to try and take the rest of us with you.

In 2014, the U.S. pledged to contribute $3 billion to the Green Climate Fund. The Obama administration made a $500 million payment in March of last year (2016), and now this new payment brings the U.S.'s total contribution to $1 billion.
