North Korea is pursuing the "rapid rebuilding" of the long-range rocket site at Sohae Launch Facility, according to new commercial imagery and an analysis from the researchers at Beyond Parallel. Sohae Satellite Launching Station, North Korea's only operational space launch facility, has been used in the past for satellite launches. These launches use similar technology to what is used for intercontinental ballistic missiles.

It's a site, because it takes weeks to setup and fire the rocket.

"This renewed activity, taken just two days after the inconclusive Hanoi Summit between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, may indicate North Korean plans to demonstrate resolve in the face of U.S. rejection of North Korea's demands at the summit to lift five U.N. Security Council sanctions enacted in 2016-2017," the analysts said. As NBC News reported, Beyond Parallel, a project sponsored by the defense think tank Center for Strategic and International Studies, recently identified 20 undisclosed missile sites in North Korea.

"The activity they are undertaking now is consistent with preparations for a test, though the imagery thus far does not show a missile being moved to the launch pad," Victor Cha, one of the authors of the report, said.

"The activity on the ground," Cha said, "shows us that they do have a (nuclear intercontinental ballistic missile) capability that is not just developmental, but in the prototype phase. They've already tested a few of these and it looks like they're preparing the launch pad for another act."

Asked for comment, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said, "We don't comment on intelligence."

Of course not. You always comment from stupidity and mendaciousness. Thanks for the confirmation Sarah.

North Korea Rebuilding Long Range Rocket Site

Kim has ever bloody right to do that.

His country, his rockets, his launch facility.

And consider this.... Iran signed an agreement with the US. Iran gave away it's right to nukes. And now the US treats it like dirt and it's economy is toilet.

Norkistan ignored the US... and now Kim is invited to summits with DOTARD. And he gets major concessions like no more war games by US and Sorkistan.

Lesson... ignore the US and do the opposite of what they want. Then the US talks to you. LOL

While people are getting worked up, lets get a very reasonable word in from Vox.

www.vox.com

"to reiterate, Sohae is a space launch site that's not integral to its ballistic missile program. North Korea has never tested an ICBM from this location, although it has launched space rockets from there. It's possible Pyongyang might test another one of those rockets in the coming weeks -- which would certainly be provocative -- but it wouldn't be the same as testing a deadly missile that could hit America or its allies."

The real danger is people like Bolton use it as a pre-text for war, as noted in the vox article's third point:

"Third, North Korea is likely sending a political message more than a militaristic one. The North has repeatedly expressed frustration that the US hasn't lifted current sanctions so Pyongyang would stop its nuclear program. By increasing activity at Sohae and the missile factory, Kim may be trying to pressure Trump and South Korean President Moon Jae-in to kill the financial penalties in place, and revive the inter-Korean economic integration plan, says Stimson Center expert Jenny Town, one of the analysts who first observed the satellite imagery."

Engine support structure is for long range rockets? They must be gigantic - I'm surprised these images are released from a commercial satellite.

Let's send North Korea some Estes rockets because they need to mellow out.

Liberals arent happy NK is building nukes, they're happy to have concrete evidence that trump is lying to his cult because he said he fixed the NK nuke threat.

Not that his cult cares. Because they're in a cult.

The norks see the press attack this President to the point that they are perceived to be defending and cheering for them.
They read that our press claims that sum dum bum owns Trump, so why would they agree to anything?

When your cult leader gets owned by a korean dictator, try to act like it's not a huge failure by joking about it.

Jimmy Carter offered to go have a sit down with Kim... I think we should let him. He is very good at diplomacy.
