Deeply troubled by military housing conditions exposed by Reuters reporting, the U.S. Army's top leadership vowed Friday to renegotiate its housing contracts with private real estate firms, test tens of thousands of homes for toxins and hold its own commanders responsible for protecting Army base residents from dangerous homes.

Military owned barracks aren't any better, comparably, but at least there is a company to blame when it happens to a contracted out housing situation.

Why is the military in the housing business?

An entry level military job was never intended to support a family, it was for young men that didn't have better options.

I'll bet the companies responsible will suffer little or no consequences. Hell, they probably won't even lose the business.

Privatization is just another right wing myth.

I'm starting to believe why they all believe in Jesus so much. Everything else they believe is a fairy tale.
