Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

[I can't make this stuff up department] It's not the strangest headline you've ever read with regards to the current Commander-in-Chief, but it's up there. President Trump loves the game of golf so much that he's installed a virtual course in the White House. The room-sized golf simulator allows the president to play without leaving the comfort of the White House. This means fewer trips to Mar A Lago, but not at the expense of his golf game. Interestingly, President Trump is not the first president to install a golf video game in the White House. He's simply replacing one that President Barrack Obama put in during his term.

So now we know where all the Executive Time is being spent....

Probably cheaper than Nixon's bowling alley or Kennedy's whorehouse...

@#2

It is less about the cost and more about the time spent not in the Oval Office, i.e., Executive Time.

~I'm going to be working for you, I'm not going to be playing golf.~

Gee, who said that? ;)

Pres Trump shows up in the Oval Office usually around 11am, sometimes later.

What time do his constituents have to show up for work?

What makes you think Trump doesn't have a whorehouse? I mean, he has whores.

Can't he just play Wii Golf?

So?

FYI:
"The White House tennis court, first built in 1902 behind the West wing, was moved to the west side of the south lawn in 1909 to make way for the expansion of Executive office space.
A heated indoor swimming pool was built in 1933 for Franklin D. Roosevelt's therapy as he was disabled by poliomyelitis. During President Nixon's first term, this space in the West Wing was converted into the White House pressroom. The Ford administration installed an outdoor pool on the South lawn in 1975.
Bowling lanes were first built in 1947 in the basement of the West Wing but were moved to the Old Executive Office Building in 1955. In 1969, President and Mrs. Nixon, both avid bowlers, had a one-lane alley built in an underground workspace area below the driveway leading to the North Portico.
A small movie theater, converted from a long cloakroom, was installed in the East Wing in 1942.
A game room with billiard and ping-pong tables was constructed in 1970 on the third floor of the White House.
A jogging track was built around the driveway of the South grounds during President Clinton's first term.
President Eisenhower had a putting green installed outside the Oval Office with a small sand trap on one side. A new practice green was located on the south grounds in 1996."

I am unclear about the outrage .. I mean I understand it sometimes...

But he just upgraded the one Obama installed.
talkingpointsmemo.com

Whats really interesting is why didn't you know that.

Obama played 306 rounds while in office, a healthy amount, but well short of the estimated 1,200 rounds Woodrow Wilson played during his term, or the 800 rounds that Dwight Eisenhower played as POTUS. Still, it's more than his immediate predecessors George W. Bush or Bill Clinton, both of whom were golfers as well.

WTH did Obama need a simulator for? Having played that many times, when did he use it?

The 27 times Donald Trump tweeted about Barack Obama playing golf too much

Can you please explain Trump's outrage to me? I didn't understand it then. But I understand the Republican hypocrisy now.

He needed the practice. He wasn't good at any sport.

the truth is>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

US President Donald Trump has splashed $50,000 ($A70,510) to install a new room-sized golf simulator at the White House.

Paid for out of his own pocket, it replaces a less sophisticated version installed during the Obama administration.

The real problem with Obama was he played a ton, took lessons and still sucked

This could be a good thing if it keeps the bloated child rapist distracted enough to stop attacking 13 year old girls.

Funny you say that when Chelsea just visited one of our campuses to deliver support, both substantively and monetarily, for a program assisting convicts transition back to their communities through work, education, and mentoring.

I'm no fan of Bill or Hillary Clinton. But the Clinton Foundation is doing a lot of good and I was witness to it last week.

Obama played 306 rounds while in office

That was over eight years, and Trump is already more than halfway there despite only having been president for two years. In other words, he's golfing twice as much as Obama and lining his own pockets with millions in taxpayer dollars by golfing at his own club.

You'd think "conservatives" would give a ----. But they don't.

I would have no problems with him installing one in the federal pen as long he lives out the rest of his life there.
