Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

President Donald Trump is refusing to meet a legal requirement to send Congress a report due Friday that requires the White House to determine whether Saudi Arabia's crown prince is personally responsible for the murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi. The White House decision came a day after an explosive New York Times report that cited US and foreign officials with direct knowledge of intelligence reports who say that Mohammad bin Salman told a top aide in 2017 that he would use "a bullet" on Khashoggi.

"The White House refusal to meet the legal requirement to report by Friday's deadline is likely to heighten anger on both sides of the aisle in Congress, where Khashoggi's killing has galvanized lawmakers.

A bipartisan group of lawmakers -- furious about the brazen murder and deeply concerned about the fallout from the devastating Saudi-led war in Yemen -- introduced legislation Friday that would require mandatory sanctions on those responsible for Khashoggi's death, prohibit certain weapons sales to Saudi Arabia and report on human rights within the Kingdom."

Looks like Vlad decided not to push the Saudis on this issue.

We have a "special relationship" with the Saudis and are happy to overlook Khashoggi and even 9-11. Its fits right into our love of freedom and democracy.

Because trump is owned by the national enquirer, and the national enquirer is owned by saudi arabia.

Thanks for electing a criminal who can be easily blackmailed by our enemies, idiots.

Kim Jong-Un now rebuilds his launch bases while Nicolas Maduro is newest enemy of the state.

Thanks for electing sales instead of service.

With your fingers in ears, your comment is naught but a plaintiff 'La la la la la la la la la la la' but Hillary, la la la la la.'

There are none so blind...as your dumb ass.

Dotard doesn't understand and doesn't care how our government works.

He only wants to make as much money off being president as he can.

Trumpers will ignore these things after 8 years of wailing about how Obama was a dictator.

#6, obviously, but only because of the electoral college a system which has sabotaged the popular democratic vote twice in our lifetimes. It must be eliminated.

He can do it because they won't do anything about it.
