Nicole Belle: The latest design of Trump's 'wall' (which he acknowledges is a barrier more than a wall) includes high steel slats with spikes (the better to impale people and birds with). Some estimates have the slats costing upwards of $24.5M per mile (for a 1,993 mile border that logistically cannot be contiguous). That's a lot of money, especially with the steel tariffs that Trump has demanded. The question must now be who will profit for all that steel? Well if the past is predictive, it's the Russians.

Trump's wall will be made of hate speech and the tears of Liberals and dead babies in cages.

So Delicious!

And it will represent the best that America can be!

I can't wait to see it. So I can dedicate the rest of my life to tearing it down.

Title should have a question mark

@#3

The phrasing implies a question mark. But more to the point of the article...

The cited article links to a Bloomberg article that talks about the use of Russian steel for the pipeline. The operative text, for me, is:

...He invited builder TransCanada Corp. to reapply for a permit denied by Barack Obama and ordered up fast-track rules forcing not only Keystone but also all new U.S. pipelines to be made from American steel. "From now on, we're going to be making pipeline in the United States," he said.

Made-in-America Keystone was a stunt. Most of its pipes had already been manufactured, a fact the White House grudgingly admitted when it exempted the project from any new Buy American rules a few months later. While some of Keystone's pipes were made in the U.S., at least a quarter of them came from a Russian steel company whose biggest shareholder is an oligarch and Trump family friend. ...

It's not funny anymore. Congress either will or it won't give Trump his wall. If not, he needs to grow up and get on with his job. He wanted to be President, that's not dictator, If Congress says no then accept it and move on. That's what Presidents do, but apparently Trump isn't up to the job of President. He just throws temper tantrums.

Made-in-America Keystone was a stunt.

The entire Trump presidency has been nothing more than a stunt.

#9 trump could make his tiny hand memorial out of marshmallows and you'd still call it a wall if he told you to.

Sniper is likely right. In any population of about 200, statistically speaking one member should be in the "really ------- stupid" demographic. Here at the DR, that is Sniper. The chance that there is a second RFS member is remote.
