After leaving food and water in desert where illegal immigrants had previously died for lack from lack of sustenance four members of the same church could be sentenced to up to six months in prison and fined up to $500. Convicting Judge did the right thing. Sentencing Judge had better recognize they did the right thing when they broke the law to save lives. Whole thing has a whiff of Les Miserables.

"Unitarian Universalist Church of Tucson"

Ah... those wild-eyed radical Universalists again! I bet they were wearing black pullover masks.

"No More Deaths says 155 migrants have died in the area since 2001."

"Velasco said in his ruling that the refuge is "littered with unexploded military (ordnance), the detritus of illegal entry into the United States, and the on-road and off-road vehicular traffic of the US Border Patrol."

He also noted that the water and food left by volunteers "erode the national decision to maintain the Refuge in its pristine nature."

One supposes that the judge prefers dead Mes'kens to water bottles.

Fresno they're doing the right thing though it breaks the law.

We have judges and not automated courts specifically for situations like this.

No it doesn't, so long as you don't have contact, and assist, its perfectly legal.

Meaning you don't hand it to them and become an accessory.

Andrea try going without anything to drink for 24 hours.

- its perfectly legal.

No, according to the judge it's not in a designated wilderness area.

Though it is still the right thing to do wherever it's done.

And you tossing an empty beer can out of the car window in the desert doesn't really qualify as having, "done that".

Being an accessory is a sacrament Andrea, you probably don't understand, you probably never will. Too bad for you.
