With a second U.S.-North Korea nuclear summit looming in February, researchers have discovered a secret ballistic missile base in North Korea -- one of as many as 20 undisclosed missile sites in the country, according to the researchers' new report.

As I read this, I wonder if Leader Kim is using Pres Trump's well-known propensity to be suckered in by unfettered flattery.

Pres Trump oft mentions the nice letters he gets from Leader Kim...

'We fell in love:' Trump swoons over letters from North Korea's Kim
www.reuters.com

...U.S. President Donald Trump took his enthusiasm for his detente with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to new heights on Saturday, declaring at a rally with supporters that "we fell in love" after exchanging letters. ...

Flattery will get you everywhere, apparently, with Pres Trump.

Did you guys see the news that we started high level spy to spy contacts with the Koreans under Obama's watch and that's what paved the way for the trump/Kim summit?

How many of you clowns want to change your opinions of whether the summit was good or bad now? Who gets credit or blame for the summit?

I for one think the summit was a good idea. I don't have faith it will result in anything, but it's a start.
Knowing Obama helped pave the way is helpful when judging his presidency. I'm surprised this info is just coming out now though. I'd think he or his admin would be proud they did it and kept it under wraps.

@#2 ... I for one think the summit was a good idea. ...

I agree. And I've said as much last week and previously.

I do not think that the concern is whether or not the summit is a good thing.

In my case, the concern is that Pres Trump is getting played.

Another Undisclosed North Korea Missile Site

So bloody what?

As if the US doesn't have a gazillion undisclosed locations... where did Dick Fraking Cheney go to all the time?

And open Area 51 to the public so I can go there for less than $5 ticket... then complain about Undisclosed Locations.

Oh come on, anyone can see every inch of the PDRK with pretty good detail from a civilian satellite as in Google Earth. Rest assured the PDRK can not flush a toilet without us knowing about it. One of the places I delivered equipment to was called Tango site. From what I saw, even the "honey wagon", a bus that carried female "entertainment" for the party bosses that followed their little god around, was tracked closely in real time on the largest screen I have ever seen. We generally do not broadcast to the world the extent of the intelligence we have on the country. Lots of empty roads, dark towns and villages that do not seem to have electricity. They have an army, and not much else. Every inhabitant of that country has to serve, ten years for men and eight for women.

The article plainly states, "The Kim regime has never admitted the existence of the Sino-ri Missile Operating Base.," and not, as you deflect, that we may not know of the site.

There also seem to be nearly 20 other sites that have not been disclosed by the Kim regime.

The reason for the concern about undisclosed sites is mentioned in the article:

... "The North Koreans are not going to negotiate over things they don't disclose," said Victor Cha, one of the authors of the report. "It looks like they're playing a game. They're still going to have all this operational capability," even if they destroy their disclosed nuclear facilities....

In other words, in order to negotiate about those sites, they have to be disclosed. Stated differently, if they are not disclosed, they are not part of any agreement that may be reached between Pres Trump and Leader Kim.

Will Trump pull-out of South Korea to appease Kim?

Wait for it!

#10 | Posted by getoffmedz Actually, that is a good idea. RoK is more than strong enough to defend themselves. The Russians are incapable of helping, Their area which borders the PDRK is 80% Chinese. The Chinese have more trade with the RoK, and are invested deeply in that country. China is authoritarian, but it is no communist state. They are more militant capitalists than we ever thought of being. The PDRK costs them money and real problems like a drug trade, illegal aliens, human trafficking and counterfeiting. I suspect that if Kim acts rashly they more than likely have already placed enough supporters within the PDRK army to effect a coup. We can deploy two divisions to the RoK in 48 hours. Four aircraft carriers in 4 days or less. The RoK army is mostly conscripts, (universal draft for two years). But the carrier soldier is very competent and professional, and well paid. DPRK soldiers are ill trained, poorly equipped, starved and shabby.

Long post of hot air. These "military experts" who post here all the time don't really know what they are talking about, there are lot's of them but I seriously don't take any of them seriously. I don't pretend to be an expert but I also don't pretend to believe those who do pretend to be experts. John Bolton probably considers himself to be an expert, he's also f*****g crazy.

"Have you seen the cabinet meetings which are basically each cabinet member giving dotards balls a tongue bath?"

Exactly. When national security takes a back seat to Dear Leader's ego our security is in jeopardy.

No.

Ending it would be a feature of an agreement with NK.

Having the Summit wasn't the issue.

The first issue was Republicans going from calling Obama weak for offering such summits to Trump being a genius for it

The second issue was Trump pretending he accomplished something with the summit. Now we have more missile sites while idiot in the White House is bragging about Kim denuclearizing.
