What's the sell by date for this premature victory lap?

I suspect it's on around the end of the month, you know, when reality hits

This is a significant move by China to try to resolve the Trade War, perhaps instigated by the rather shocking drop in December exports reported yesterday by the China Trade Authority. This, coupled with China's recent series of goodwill gestures they have made since the Argentina summit, including a reduction in additional tariffs on US car products, the resumption of imports of US soybeans and the drafting of a law that explicitly prohibits forced technology transfers to local partners, is probably the clearest signal that China needs to make a deal.

Could be.

We'll know the Chinese are serious if they offer to build us a wall.

They were invited

How is this "significant" on their part

Much ado about something yet to even take place

Should arrest him as soon as he lands and charge him with something that carries the death penalty.

That is for Canada to do or not do. Not America.

Why should America retaliate on Canada's behalf? LOL

In what alternate universe is that going to happen?

#7 Canada arrested the Huawei princess as requested by the US.

Yes. But the US will not apply pressure on China for Canada.

Not for Justin "Soyboy" Trudeau. Perhaps he should glue on his eyebrows, dress in a qipao and woo the Chinese to release their nationals with a culturally offensive song and dance.

He probably only agreed after Trump promised him free big macs and cold french fries in paper cups.

Why end it? Libs love it because it gives them more hypocritical news bites and comments, and Cons love it because they think the visit justifies everything they have done. Both sides benefit. Unless you are someone who isn't getting a paycheck, then it doesn't matter.

I think the Liberals have enough to run news bites on right now... But live in your fantasy universe all you want.

Why bother? Trump and his toadies will start fighting amongst themselves, yell at their visitors, and then storm out after 15 minutes of speechifying. There's no dealing with this White House cabal...

I hope Speaker Pelosi opines that the chinese delegation should perhaps wait until trump represents a functioning government....
