Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

President Donald Trump's friend and booster Jeanine Pirro chuckled when she asked the question. "Are you now, or have you ever worked for Russia, Mr. President?" she said. His answer took a minute and 52 seconds and followed the rambling, diversionary style he's always favored when speaking off the cuff. He said 358 words, punctuated with Pirro's affirming laughter. "No" was not one of them.

Good grief..., just more evidence to stack upon the piles the FBI already has against Trump.

I know... Trumpers, no one should read anything into a suspect refusing to answer a simple 'yes/no' question about their own guilt or innocence. Doesn't show consciousness of guilt, shouldn't be viewed suspiciously whatsoever, it's just the damned liberal media creating things that don't exist.

Except it was Fox News, and one of Trump's chief supplicants Jeannine Pirro asking him to preach to the flock and deny any such scurrilous accusations, finally proving the Democrat(sic)-infested DOJ as completely off the reservation.

And Trump could not bring himself to ever say the simple, unambiguous word "no".

Trump fails to answer yes or no when asked if he ever worked for Russia www.theguardian.com

A competent interviewer would have followed up requesting a yes or no.

My read on this is that Pirro intentionally asked and worded her question in a form where Trump could give an unequivocal "No" before taking off on his inevitable rant about how wrongly he's being persecuted by the Deep State. Maybe I give the true believers too much credit, but I don't think Pirro thinks that Trump is compromised. I really think that she might even have been a little surprised that he never actually denied the allegations against him, he only attacked those who posited them as possibilities.

But in the eyes of investigators I'm sure his non-denying denials only added more logs to the raging bush-fire currently known as his crumbling presidency.

Trump shreds notes after meeting with America's strongest adversary. He fires the head of the FBI and jokes to Russia's top spy in America about it.

If Obama had done that, the GOP would have impeached everyone from the president to the White House chef.

Or imagine if Hillary had shared polling data with a foreign adversary to enable them to form a campaign of cyber warfare to get their chosen candidate elected ...

Republicans are spineless hypocrites, devoid of moral fiber

"You not traitor, da?" said Fox.

"Durr durr durr durr," Trump said.

"Hurr durr durr!" grunted his followers.

Well the last thing Trampy wants to do is be questioned by anyone who is not 1000% on his side.

This interview is a great example of how guilty people will go to far lengths to give excuses of how it could not be them and yet never say they didn't do it.

Where's MandreaFishBoaNulli to spin this, then flag each other as "newsworthy"?

"Just say No!"

-Nancy Reagan

"What so hard about saying Nazi's are bad!"

--Obama

"How hard is it to say "NO, I am NOT working for the Russians!"?

-Any Reasonable Person

Or better known in some backwater blogs as a "reach around".

So what? He wasn't under oath. He could have just lied and said NO. Would that change anything?

No. The morons who think it's all a hoax would beleive him and continue think it's all a hoax. Just like they do now.

People with a brain would know he's lying, because they know he lies every time he talks. Just like they do now.

This is a non story.

Instead, howbout a thread about how trump is still trying to lift sanctions on putin's oligarchs, and his treasury secretary can't explain why to congress.

This is a non story.

Exactly.

He definitively stated today that he never worked for Russia.

The Left truly is reaching on this one.

I mean it's a non story that he didn't say NO. If he did say no, he'd just be lying, but that's a non story too in the age of trump.

There are many more newsworthy events in the news to spend time on. Like why he's still trying to help putin's inner circle get sanction relief, and why the treasury secretary can't explain that to congress.
