Coming to Netflix in 2019 For years, rumors have circulated among Bob Dylan fans that a documentary about his legendary, star-studded "Rolling Thunder Revue" tour of 1975-76 was in the works, and occasional whispers had a name attached: Martin Scorsese.

Now, the cat can come officially out of the bag. Variety has exclusively learned that Netflix plans to release the movie in 2019, with the director's name actually in the title: "Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorsese."

I have a complete collection of Bob Dylan's records on vinyl, courtesy of my late Uncle-- well, near complete. I have everything from his first album to Slow Train Coming, and then Infidels and Knocked Out Loaded. I have binge-listened to them all pretty closely as of late, and I believe that Bob Dylan experienced a serious tail-off in quality and creativity after John Wesley Harding, although Blood on the Tracks is easy to tell as the best thing he did in the 70s. New Morning and Planet Waves is about as crap as he ever produced. I like Street Legal, however.

I've have seen him live just once-- at the Merriweather Post Pavilion back in 2013. He was OK. Nothing special.
