If Congress were considering legislation prohibiting boycotts directed against gays, women or Muslim owned companies, would Senator Bernie Sanders be arguing that such a ban would violate the First Amendment? If Congress were considering legislation prohibiting companies from boycotting majority Muslim countries, would Rashida Tlaib be accusing its supporters of dual loyalty?

"To single out only the "Jew among nations," and not the dozens of far more serious violators of human rights is bigotry pure and simple, and those who support BDS only against Israel are guilty of bigotry."

That is simply horse crap. There is nothing wrong with her calling out Israel for their treatment of Palestinians. That is not bigotry, it is conscience. Those who aren't are the bigots.

Dershowitz's argument is Israel is should get a pass, because there are worse.

To make Israel enemy #1 when their human rights record is WAY better than most other countries on the planet reeks of bigotry, Danni.

I guaran-fricking-tee you a BDS against "Palestine" would be screeched as bigoted and racist. So why the double standard?

I construed his argument to be - why give a pass to other countries that are far worse?

Last time I looked Israel is about 35% Muslim. Arabs that chose to live in Israel rather than in the Palestinian Authority. They may have reasons. Stranger still, the biggest employer of those areas are within Israel, Thousands of Palestinians commute into Israel every day to work. As I remember, the Jews were expelled from every country in the middle east and sent to Israel by force. I doubt that they will be granted any right to return.

"Last time I looked Israel is about 35% Muslim"

When was the last time you checked? 1947?

As of 2016 Israel was 17.5% Muslim. So you are only half right. But then again, when it comes to stating facts, when does anyone on this site take any of your posts seriously?

Bigot: "a person who is intolerant toward those holding different opinions."

If you want to argue she's a bigot against warmongers and genocidal maniacs, then yes, she is.

Dershowitz and jeffylube seem to conveniently forget that we give Israel resources to commit their crimes.

#7 | Posted by nerfherder I call BS,how old are those the demographics? Basically over 25% of the individuals in Israel are not Jews by any measure. Muslims within Israel have drove Christians out of area that are traditionally theirs, Bethlehem and Nazareth for example. Of course Syria, Iran and Iraq can now claim to be Jew and Christian free or soon will be. Turkey is trying hard to accomplish this and it is almost the case in Lebanon. "The borders of Islam are always bloody".

I call BS,how old are those the demographics?

Here's a nice Israeli site right up your alley that gives you the numbers in Hebrew (just so you don't question the source). The demographics are 2 years old. You can call BS all you want, but that won't make you right-- it'll just make you look more like a bigoted clown who just so happens to be completely wrong.

"Muslims within Israel have drove Christians out of area that are traditionally theirs, Bethlehem and Nazareth for example"

Rigggght, it's not the creation of Israel and the terror campaign that led to its creation and their continued usurpation of lands that drove them out-- its the Muslims in Israel's fault. LOL. BTW, Bethlehem is not in Israel, it is in the West Bank, and I have been fortunate to go there with my mom a few years back (my dad couldn't go as her chaperone because he's senile, so I got blessed with her rosary-clutching company for two solid weeks). The Christians and Muslims get along pretty well there. Here's a nice article from one of my Mom's favorite Catholic websites (I'm being saracastic) that gives you a bit more balanced view of what's going on there (written the same month we went):

Bethlehem During Christmas 2016

You see, I've been to 5 different Muslim countries-- and unlike you, I don't go there to kill or oppress them or to support those killing or oppressing them. I go there to see the sights and enlighten my otherwise caucasian, middle-class, west-o-centric worldview.

"Of course Syria, Iran and Iraq can now claim to be Jew and Christian free or soon will be"

And you supported the destruction and death in those countries by the US military that helped make it all possible. In each of those countries you mention, before American destruction and death from above, they had Jewish and Christian populations that weren't doing that badly. This intervention has been going on for the past 75 years. It's a pattern, and it had much of its genesis in the formation of Israel.

No go peddle your obvious bigotry and false claims elsewhere.

"Last time I looked Israel is about 35% Muslim."

"Basically over 25% of the individuals in Israel are not Jews by any measure. "

You cannot make this ---- up.

So 25% of the people in Israel are not Jews, but Israel is 35% Muslim.

Riiiigggghhhtttt.

"Nice unsourced claims from the usual Islamophobic bigot."

Uh, you don't seem to have spent much time out of your parents basement in the last 60 years or so. There used to be large jewish populations across southwest Asia. They're all gone now. Afghanistan had tens of thousands of jews 80 years ago. Now, maybe one. In the 20th century, Iraq was the home of hundreds of thousands of jews. As of 2013, you could count the number of jews in Iraq on one hand.

You're not much different that a holocaust denier discounting the claims as being a product of the Zionist Occupational Government. Is it possible you're a closet Nazi?

Totally,

I think you should expound more, and in doing so totally skewer me on how persecution of Jews in the Islamic world is nothing more than Zionist historical revisionism. Ready...go!

persecution of Jews in the Islamic world

Israel has been taking care of itself for a while now, and with all the technology and money we've given them, they're doing just fine.

Afghanistan and Iraq weren't part of the Islamic world 80 years ago?

"Israel has been taking care of itself for a while now, and with all the technology and money we've given them, they're doing just fine."

What exactly does that have to do with the Jewish populations outside Israel.

"Afghanistan and Iraq weren't part of the Islamic world 80 years ago?"

They were. But it was during a more tolerant time in the history of Islam. Like Germany prior to the emergence of the National Socialists.

Golly.

What changed in the Ialamic world, to make them so intolerant of the Jews they had been tolerating for centuries?

???

I hope so. I wouldn't respect her if she wasn't. We have had enough Uncle and Auntie Toms... we need someone who can call scum "SCUM".

May she be the first of many to come. Ameen.
