Harpers: From a letter written in 1905 by Friedrich Trump, Donald Trump's grandfather, to Luitpold, prince regent of Bavaria. Trump had been ordered to leave Bavaria for failing to complete mandatory military service and to register his initial emigration to the United States twenty years earlier. Prince Luitpold rejected Trump's request for repatriation; the family later settled in New York.

Well, Billy boy was very adept at avoidance of duty: www.1stcavmedic.com

Guess he and Trump may [possibly] have something in common if allegation about Trump can be substantiated.

It does seem that scumbag narcists tend to avoid the draft, pay their fair share of taxes, cheat on their wives. Billy did two, Trampy got the triple.

He was an illegal, a draft dodger and a pimp.

Upon this the Trump fortune was founded.

It also explains Trump's viewing women the way normal people view livestock.

See! Bone spurs are hereditary in my family! My sons are also cursed by this sad, tragic illness, even if they don't know it. Many people have told me they can run with bone spurs but can't stand and fight, like they do in our great military. I always wanted to be shot at and get a Purple Heart, but my grandfather's bone spurs crippled me. It even affects my golf game. I could have been a PGA pro--probably among the best, with many, many victories--were it not for this condition. What's that? Which foot is affected? Yes...

If you call Clinton a draft dodger because he got a high lottery number then you are calling all those who avoided the draft, in the same way, draft dodgers. Many of your fathers and brothers would qualify as draft dodgers under that criteria. In truth, you call Clinton a "draft dodger" because real draft dodgers like Rush Limbaugh and SEan Hannity have trained you like seals to bark the talking points on command.

"Here is a short list of prominent chickenhawks:

Glenn Beck
Tony Blair (dishonorable mention)[note 2]
George W. Bush[note 3]
Paul Wolfowitz
Dick Cheney
Tom Delay
Larry Elder
Newt Gingrich
Sean Hannity
Christopher Hitchens[note 4]
Charles Krauthammer
William Kristol
Scooter Libby
Joe Lieberman
Rush Limbaugh
Trent Lott
Ted Nugent[1]
Bill O'Reilly
Dan Quayle
Karl Rove
Ben Shapiro
Donald Trump - actively got out of serving in 'nam (Bonespur, can't remember which foot) and wants to "bomb the ---- out of" pretty much everything, including war crimes against civilians who happen to be related to terrorists
Stephen Harper"

You are absolutely right, they are draft dodgers if they used family influence to get high lottery numbers or to have plans in place to avoid the draft should their number be called. However, if you got a high number for any other reason than because of the lottery system, then you are a draft dodger. Just like I've been saying, just because something is wrong on one side doesn't mean it's right on the other. But, for that same reason, Clinton WAS a draft dodger, just like many other Dems and Reps.

And this article is such trash. Almost all of our forefathers were slave owners, even anyone from Africa who were using slavery WAAAAAAAAY before America was even discovered. So now we are going to have hate articles from the media bashing forefathers? That pretty much ensures the news will never die.

That's not how it worked.

Are you too old to remember, or too young?

There was no way to arrange for a high lottery number, it was completely random. Once you got a low number then the only thing you could do was get a doctor to say you had bone spurs or some other ailment. Clinton did not dodge the draft, he just got lucky. You want to blame him for having good luck then be my guest but just be honest about what you are doing.
