Nevada will become the first state in the country to have a majority female Legislature after members of the Clark County Commission appointed two women to a pair of open seats in the Assembly.

A different perspective in governance. I predict it will benefit the people of Nevada.

They are probably all hookers. This is Nevada we are talking about.

Would it be fair to say in Nevada corruption is king? Has anyone ever done a study which measures the differential susceptibility to corruption by sex? I've long thought women in politics would reduce the propensity to make war. Warren is obviously exemplary, but Hillary and Thatcher not so much?

What are they going to do differently? Add some feminine decor? Restock the reading room/library with romance novels? Require that tv sets be tuned to the Hallmark Channel?

More female legislators may or may not be a good thing. It all depends on what they do with the power once they have it. Wasn't that the rap against HRC: it wasn't enough to be a woman; you had to be the right woman? Same logic applies here. A bunch of Palin, Bachmann, Blackburn, Collins types running the show won't be much of an improvement, IMO.

So? I dont care about a politician's --------. I care about their donors.

Women are no more inherently good or ethical than men.

Sarah Palin, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Kellyanne Conway, Margaret Thatcher, Jan Brewer, Tami Lauren, Judge Jeanine whatsername...

Aren't all women really just hookers Jeffy? Aren't we always really just "negotiating" with them on how much of "us" we want to give to "them" (physically emotionally and financially) just to be with them? (pay to play)?

Just so I get this straight...
Accoding to the modern ethos...
All men are rapists and all women are hookers?
Hot it.

Got it.

No modern ethos is: all men are barely-restrained rapists and women are all innocent victims and ethically superior.

Ya it would be safe to say corruption is king - at least in Las Vegas... How many of those casinos actually have occupancy permits?

maybe NOW Elvis will finally leave the building.

It isnt her ability to make war, it's her ability to respond when war is needed. Get too much of a pacifist, our enemies, who have no problem making war, will wage it against her(whoever she is). It's all our safety that's up for grabs. In a post war world that isnt our type of society, most women are slaves, not leaders. It would do any woman well to understand that.

Our enemies don't even have to make war to hurt us if they just install an incompetent corrupt puppet in the white house.

Do the world a favor and stay away from women, freak.

It would for well for YOU to understand that you are not God's gift to Mankind.

There are literally millions of women I would follow before I even considered following you Bo. And you best hope I never have to even consider following someone like you. I would be forced to prevent that from becoming reality.

Boaz, thanks. It's comments like yours that remind me what we're up against in attempting to move America forward. Clearly we progressives have our work cut out for us and can't assume that everyone else has joined the 21st century with us.

If I was the only male in a majority female state legislature I would welcome all night, closed door sessions with prolonged heated discussions that would eventually come to to blows...

All Boaz's talking points become moot when I realize that, in the primal, chauvinist world Boaz would like to live in, he wouldn't be a leader or a supervisor or a common foot soldier or even in the military for that matter-- he would be a slave toiling his life away on some east coast plantation belonging to a white guy like me.

I wouldn't want that world, and I'm pretty sure he wouldn't either. But one must keep up appearances.
