Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

This year's McKinsey & Company retreat in China was one to remember. Hundreds of the company's consultants frolicked in the desert, riding camels over sand dunes and mingling in tents linked by red carpets. Meetings took place in a cavernous banquet hall that resembled a sultan's ornate court, with a sign overhead to capture the mood. "I can't keep calm, I work at McKinsey & Company," it said. Especially remarkable was the location: Kashgar, the ancient Silk Road city in China's far west that is experiencing a major humanitarian crisis.

Deng Xiaoping launched the Beijing Spring in 1977 and brought in the world's smartest people to re-invent China's economy. It went from dysfunctional agrarian to dominant manufacturing power in 4 decades.
It is truly amazing what a totalitarian government focused on improving a countries economy can do, in spite of the corrupting affect of the communist party.

It makes me wonder if democracy and the inevitable corporate capture and corruption is doomed. Or will democracies have to experience a collapse similar to China's disastrous Cultural Revolution to wise up. Greece has not shown much hope.

Greedhead capitalism is doomed. The American economy is based on insurance and real estate, managed by zero-sum game theory. Wise up. It's never too late to start over again as a born-again hippie!

Warfare can be fought with weapons or debt. Mario Draghi, formerly of Goldman-Sachs, which issued fraudulent Greek Bonds, by first hiding existing Greek debt, now runs the European Central Bank. He is determined to make the poor people of Greece, who never asked for or benefited from the bond debt, pay for it. The result has been such harsh austerity that retirees lost their pensions and the economy collapsed. Greeks are literally starving or dying from preventable disease while the perpetrators of that fraud get rich. Its the same thing that was done to Puerto Rico by Jack Lew, formerly of Citicorp, who happened to be running the Treasury Department when Puerto Rico defaulted. Like Enron, the crime was hiding the debt in some offshore account. Unlike Enron, none of the perpetrators of those frauds are held accountable because they are in charge and make their own rules. Debt is a form of enslavement. Banks create the debt with imaginary money that never belonged to them in the first place. It is created from nothing each time a loan is written.

The company got rich because they operate in a nation that provides freedoms while doing business with governments and companies who operate in countries where people and small companies have lost their freedoms, namely communistic and socialistic countries. Yet, we still have millions in America who want us to become socialist.

First, you don't know the difference between Authoritarian Communism and Democratic Socialism.

Second, there are not millions who want us to become the idea of Socialism you hold. They want us to become more like Canada or Norway.

Third, our Republicans overlords have enacted tax policy precisely to benefit these companies doing business like this.

So 'iconic' that with the exception of the business/financial community the majority of Americans have never heard of it.

"McKinsey & Company is an American worldwide management consulting firm. It conducts qualitative and quantitative analysis to evaluate management decisions across public and private sectors"
