New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood has sued the Trump Foundation for self-dealing, calling for a $2.8 million penalty and the dissolution of the so-called charity. Underwood's office also referred potential criminal prosecutions to the Internal Revenue Service and the Federal Election Commission.

A couple of days ago there was a reference to an investigation into the Trump Foundation's Iowa activities. I scratched my head on that one because I did not remember what happened there.

After looking around via my search engine of choice, I found a few articles about it.

It seems that then candidate Trump held a fund-raiser for Veterans, but instead used the money for his own political purposes.

And the now-cooperating Allen Weisselberg was the person writing the checks.

And people called Nixon a crook.

Nixon could have learned a lot from Trump about fleecing a nation.

I remember that fundraiser for veterans. The list of veteran charities that were supposed to get the money from Trump reported that they never received a dime. Eventually they sued Trump. It took a long time and I recall that the checks were eventually doled out in small dribs and drabs. One of the charities that sued was Wounded Warriors who, incidentally, were themselves found guilty of grifting from their own charitable foundation with high salaries and lavish trips. Go figure.

"Wounded Warriors" is a bunch of criminals.

It was almost funny that they got scammed by Trump.

""Wounded Warriors" is a bunch of criminals."

They WERE a bunch of criminals! To be fair, they've corrected that situation. No more using charity funds to charter-jet their executives from all over the country to Hawaii for a "meeting."
