Good job NRA.

Yes I clearly remember the NRA saying the mentally unstable should have guns.

Most of the dead are gun owners, so this is good news.

@#3 ... Yes I clearly remember the NRA saying the mentally unstable should have guns. ...

Maybe not directly, but indirectly.

The NRA has blocked attempts to establish a background check to determine if a person should be allowed to buy a gun.

Seems the sharp rise is due to suicides.

Is that why you chose "sniper" as your moniker?

Pretty sure Sniper chose "Sniper" as his nom de plume because he couldn't spell Snapper.

Pray tell, what is a Snapper, anyway?

It would seem that the NRA's collusion with Russian spies is paying dividends. They are getting even higher body counts.

Next: the NRA will urge the marketing of a cheap, one shot handgun for those seek it to off themselves in an inexpensive way. Why spend $500 on a first class gun if you're only using it yourself, firing it only once?

Watch for the advertising to start in about 3, 2, 1...

$500 will get you a low end AR-15. A Beretta Pico pistol is $199 right now.

Saw a bumper sticker the other day while driving to work.

It said "Guns don't kill people. Trauma and internal bleeding do."

If this trend continues more ammunition will be required.

People kill people

#8 | POSTED BY SNIPER

Can we stop with this BS?

Conservatives argued very effectively over "Fast and Furious" that guns kill people (hence why it was Obama's fault that a border patrol agent got shot by a Mexican criminal). If "people kill people" then "Fast and Furious" would not have been a thing.

#24: Umm, it's illegal to sell firearms to criminals.

#25 | POSTED BY DANIEL

You need to check your facts. Nothing the ATF did was illegal. They allowed guns to be sold to buyers under suspicion of being "straw buyers", but the person buying the gun is not illegal. It is once that person turns around and sells the gun to a criminal that it becomes illegal (and the ATF does not have control at that point, so they can't be breaking the law). The difference with Fast and Furious is that SOP was to raid people that they found out to be straw buyers, and instead they let the guns "walk" so that they could track them.

Knowing that "guns kill people" they should not have allowed the "gun walking" knowing that the guns might fall into the wrong hands. But, if it was just "people kill people", then it shouldn't matter. You go after the person. But instead Republicans went after the gun by attacking the Obama administration. Hence... they made it pretty clear that "guns kill people".

What is the argument that conservatives used to make? "It is pointless to make laws on gun control, because criminals will break the law and get the guns anyway, so it just ends up harming non-criminals." Republican attacks on Fast and Furious all support a liberal gun policy.

Next?
