So now Trump is a big fan of Mueller and his investigation. Trump is actually thanking Mueller for his work. He must realize he owes Mueller a huge apology for all the "Witch Hunt" claims. No doubt Trump's sincere apology will be forthcoming. It's wonderful to have a gracious president again, yes?

Well, DANNI. It may be impossible for Trump to be schizophrenic, since that is the separation of affect and intellect, and he shows no signs of having intellect.

(Kinda like how it's impossible for someone to jaywalk in our small town because in our state jaywalking is defined as crossing a street between two stoplight-controlled intersections, and we don't have even one stoplight.)

"What are you whistlers gonna say if he IS totally cleared?"

That it is a lie. We already have plenty of information to know he is not innocent. We're not stupid. Whether Mueller can make a great case for court or not won't change anything, Trump colluded with Putin. That's just a fact and we all know it is true. What we don't know is if Mueller can prove it in court. I sort of suspect he will though.

Let's be honest here. You don't care if Trump colluded with the Russians or not. YOu only care if the case can be proven, which it probably will be. I remember clearly when Richard Nixon was under scrutiny and the right wingers spoke much like you do now. EVeryone knew he was guilty but the right hided behind the proposition that we had to prove it. We did. Trump is going down like it or not because he is guilty, deny it all you want but it is just too obvious to anyone will to look at it objectively and that excludes you. Like the Nixon supporters years ago, you are incapable of looking at the crimes your President has committed.

I was watching some Fox News coverage yesterday. Their onscreen crawl was showing that these recent document releases show that there was NO CRIME OF COLLUSION COMMITTED.

I thought that was odd because Fox News, in the past times I have watched it, had spent hours talking about how there is no such crime as collusion.

When Russia approached, Trump officials gladly obliged
www.axios.com

...The flashing siren in the "known knowns" of the Russia probe is how often people close to Vladimir Putin approached people close to Donald J. Trump -- and how often they gladly connected. And then lied about it.

Why it matters: Two court filings last evening on Michael Cohen -- one by federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York, followed an hour later by special counsel Robert Mueller -- put new meat on those bones, show that the contacts go back to 2015, and allude to multiple ongoing investigations. All that broadens the legal risk for Mueller's "Individual 1," the president of the United States....

At least we may be starting to see some of the reason(s) for the widespread lying among those in the Trump circle.

Cohen pleads guilty to campaign finance violations, felony.

Part of that plea comes with the incrimination that the above felony was committed at the direction of Trump.

Cohen was reimbursed for the money he fronted to pay off the women through one of Trump's organizations (charities?) and then given an added bonus for completing said task, all of which took place prior to the revelation that either of the women had affairs with Trump. The key here is that he was reimbursed AND given an added bonus for the successfully completed deeds. This would not have happened had Trump not been aware of the transactions and I am sure, considering the narrative playing out with Cohen in the Mueller investigation, that Mueller has tangible evidence that Trump did know of these transactions in advance and, therefor, it can be concluded that Cohen behaved in an illegal manner at the direction of his boss, Trump.

This, PHESTOR, is why it now boils down to the inclination that Trump did, indeed, commit at least one crime during the 2016 campaign. He cheated against the current rules; he broke the law to bolster his chances of becoming POTUS.

Is that not enough for you to support impeachment? If not, what severity of crime would Trump have had to commit (and how many times) in order for you to support impeachment?

Another story...

George Papadopoulos: Former Trump Campaign Foreign Policy Advisor, continued in that role after Trump became President. Convicted October 5, 2017 for lying to the FBI regarding communications

Michael Flynn: Former Army General, Trump Campaign Advisor, led "lock her up chants" as a keynote speaker at the Republican National Convention, appointed by Trump as National Security Advisor and Director of National Intelligence, perhaps the most sensitive position related to national security in the Administration. Convicted (by guilty plea) on December 1, 2017 for lying to the FBI and regarding contacts and communications with Russians on behalf of the Trump transition team.

Richard Pinedo: California man convicted February 2, 2018 for helping the indicted Russian individuals and companies in their meddling in the Presidential election.

Alex Van der Zwaan: The son-in-law of a Russian oligarch pleads guilty on February 20, 2018 for lying to the FBI regarding his communications with Rick Gates and Paul Manafort on behalf of pro-Soviet elements in the Ukraine.

Rick Gates: As widely anticipated, on February 23, 2018 Rick Gates strikes a plea agreement and pleads guilty to multiple counts for conspiracy to defraud the United States and making false statements.

Paul Manafort: Found guilty by a jury on August 21, 2018 on eight counts of 18 against him.

Michael Cohen: Convicted (by guilty plea)

From a Reddit post:

> But the raging debate about the hush-money payments is something of a sideshow. Although serious, campaign finance violations often are not criminal and certainly are not the key issue here. The key is Russia, and Cohen has joined the ranks of other cooperators providing Mueller with extensive information on those issues. We now know Trump was secretly negotiating a deal with Russia worth hundreds of millions of dollars while running for president and while Russia was actively working to help him get elected. There is mounting evidence of substantial connections among Russia, the Trump campaign, and Trump's business interests, and of a possible criminal conspiracy to conceal those connections.

note they use the term conspiracy instead of collusion, because conspiracy is a crime with many federal statutes

Honestly, trump is so stupid that the Russians didn't actually have to have any information, they could have claimed it and trump would have lapped it up.

Which seems to be exactly what happened in TRUMP TOWER with Don Jr. and his meeting with Russians about "adoptions."

Reddit is just full of doozies today:

"The Dec 7 filing in SDNY on Michael Cohen's sentencing charges that President Trump (aka "Individual 1") directed a criminal conspiracy with his attorney Cohen to violate the federal election laws in order to increase his odds of winning the presidency by deceiving voters,"

This is a felony.

Trump tweets: "Totally clears the President. Thank you!"

So is Trump right in that? Who among you agree that Mueller's recent court filings totally cleared Trump? Anybody?

#94 | Posted by nimbleswitch at 2018-12-09 01:53 AM | Reply

Trump is directly implicated by Mueller's latest findings. When he says something like this, it either means:
(1) He is insane, or
(2) He thinks his supporters are so stupid that they will believe his alternate version of reality

Which is is, Trumptards?

#95 | Posted by JOE at 2018-12-09 09:43 AM | Reply

(3) All of the above.

The bigger and more guilty the blowhard, the bigger the lie.

"A big lie (German: große Lüge) is a propaganda technique. The expression was coined by Adolf Hitler, when he dictated his 1925 book Mein Kampf, about the use of a lie so "colossal" that no one would believe that someone "could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously"."

Depends on the meaning of "totally" and "cleared".

Or what "IS" is?

No matter. Humpy can believe whatever he wants to believe while sharing a cell with his best friend forever, Paul ManTheFort.
