Adam McKay's Dick Cheney biopic "Vice" seized control of the 76th annual Golden Globe Awards with a leading six nominations, narrowly edging Bradley Cooper's tear-jerking revival "A Star Is Born," the interracial road-trip drama "Green Book" and the period romp "The Favourite."

"Christian Bale's extreme physical transformation to play Dick Cheney has been the biggest talking point around Adam McKay's upcoming political comedy-drama "Vice," but the Oscar winner isn't the only actor in the film to appear unrecognizable."

A client of mine is at E-One and saw an early screening of Vice, he is very liberal and while he thought it was, in his words, much too "soft" on Cheney for his liking he thought it was very well done.

Read into that what you will, but from what I have heard this could be the Best Picture front runner over Star is Born or Green Car.

I thought Stormy Daniels would win the award for Golden Globes this year for sure.

A horror movie for the ages. And yet, the man walks free...

As long as I'm not snowed in, I'll be seeing Vice opening weekend. There looks to be overlap between styles between The Big Short and Vice.

Damn, he's a dead ringer for the "Evil Dick"!
Hell of a make up job as the actor is only 44 years old.

A couple weeks ago I was quizzed "Which British actor will play Dick Cheney?" I was "Broadbent? Fry, TOM BAKER?! Is was getting down to mostly Margaret Thatcher drag impersonators and Kiwi's I had mistaken as Brits. Christian Bale would never have ever been in my little list. Literal brain malfunction as the prosthetic reality didn't make up for the grovelly-voiced hunchback Pentagon bell ringer (or it's silencer in reality). His attempt at batman, like many performers was.. inaudible. His American Psycho was meticulous. The incredibly well-concealed psychopath righting the notion of mediocrity dominating the 90's ballad universe, maybe casually murdering to Whitney's immense 'The Greatest Love of All' being ignored at 1am in WalGreens is more believable. Slow dancing spiraling shoe prints in her entrails, maybe finishing with scanning and purchasing eight bottles of bleach and one box of bandaids. "Find your strength in loooooooooove"...

Imo, there should be an invisibles award, such as Johnny Depp in The Orient Express, Cranston in LBJ.

I am enthusiastic about these new specialist collaborations. Prosthetics are now printable and actors with vocal and mannerism skills can immerse.

I also recommend Molly's Game.

Mitt also looks predictably interesting.

Btw - asking Tom Baker to perform as Dick Cheney was merely attempting to devise whatever remained as possibilities. What a tremendous gift to dick that would have been - a charming, Santa-esque vice president handing out contracts to encourage some smiles.. "Warmth" and "empathy" doth not that Dick maketh. "Prickly" and "scorpion-like", definitely.
