Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Monday, December 03, 2018

An angry President Donald Trump on Monday called for his ex-personal lawyer Michael Cohen to receive a stiff prison sentence for his admitted crimes, as he accused Cohen of making up "stories to get a GREAT & ALREADY reduced deal for himself." Trump in a Twitter tirade also accused special counsel Robert Mueller of seeking "lies" from witnesses about Trump -- and praised his longtime associate Roger Stone as having the "guts" to withstand pressure from Mueller's prosecutors to "make up stories" about the president.

Actually, what Stone has said is that there is no evidence against him.

Gotta wonder what Trump's current personal lawyer is thinking about his own future?

Isn't this just another attempt to influence the courts improperly?

... he accused Cohen of making up "stories to get a GREAT & ALREADY reduced deal for himself. ...

Hasn't fmr Mayor Giuliani stated that what Mr Cohen said (and what Pres Trump appears to call, "made up stories") was about the same as what Pres Trump submitted to Mr Mueller in his written answers?

To be more precise, fmr Mayor Giuliani said there was "no contradiction" between what Mr Cohen admitted to and what Pres Trump wrote.

Well, typically when a plea agreement is made, any and all "co-defense" agreements are canceled. If that is true then...

Were Pres Trump's lawyers (e.g. fmr Mayor Giuliani) continuing to talk with Mr Cohen's legal team? If they did then...

It may be possible that, e.g., fmr Mayor Giuliani has opened himself up to a meet and greet with Mr Mueller.

Mueller's no dummy and this isn't his first rodeo. Knowing full well that he's dealing with someone, Cohen, who has the instincts of a mobster's shyster, I have to wonder if Mueller expected something like this from Cohen and left that door open on purpose.

It's going to more than just fun later this week. Mr. Mueller is making a treasure trove of court filings public rather than sealed. That's his insurance policy that none of this gets gets buried not to mention an end run around Whittaker.

Smart move.

And the Central Park Five...even after they were proven innocent.

This is your beloved Republican Party.
