President Donald Trump's former personal lawyer Michael Cohen said Friday he was in "close and regular contact" with Trump's White House staff and legal team when he prepared a statement for Congress that he now says falsely downplayed Trump's effort to land a Trump Tower Moscow deal during the 2016 presidential campaign.

What does close and regular contact mean?

I am hoping it is a Mueller tactic to get denials of involvement in writing Cohen's testimony, while having evidence of involvement.

It's a long read that requires you to pay attention.

But, imo, well worth the effort.

Hmmm, there's a good chance that BLOTUS could find himself without legal counsel but with some new co-conspirators with this revelation. Don't forget Cohen was a paranoid evidence pack rat who recorded people unbeknownst to those being recorded. What do you want to bet we hear Rudy, Dowd and his other attorneys at the time discussing Cohen lying to Congress to protect Drumpf, which is a crime, should get those lawyers disbarred and falls under crime/fraud exception so they can be subpoenaed to testify.

Just your regular conspiracy.

It's a sad circumstance when Trump lawyers have to hire lawyers to defend themselves against other lawyers. The Domino Effect.

"there's a good chance that BLOTUS could find himself without legal counsel"

I wouldn't count on that. But quality is another matter. Any law firm that values their reputation can smell a stink bomb like Trump 10 miles away. In other words, the cost is high and the benefit is zero.

I'm kinda hoping that the Trumplethinskin cartel seeks asylum in Russia or Saudi Arabia and they let the kids stay to live in cages and deport the orange bloat to face trial in the US... and that he be given a bitter, flatulent, old hippy alcoholic PD going through a bitter divorce... for counsel.

jes sayin....

The thing is I believe he will come up with something more absurd all on his own.

sooo imma buy some more popcorn and watch the train wreck.

... no matter what that boy is leaving office in disgrace... so he is just going through the motions.

Good thing Trump has a great reputation of paying his bills. If I was those lawyers, I hope they got it all up front!
