A little girl named Abcde was mocked by a Southwest gate agent. The airline has apologized.

The 5-year-old has epilepsy. A Southwest Airlines employee saw her name on the boarding pass and started mocking and laughing right near the child. The mother later found a picture of the boarding pass with the child's name posted on Facebook.

Childish adults that haven't matured past Middle School mocking a 5 year old. How tragic.

You name your kid something stupid the name is going to get mocked.

Granted any business should take your money and keep their opinion on the name to themselves but this kid is in for a rough middle school and I don't think mom will be able to sue every kid who picks on her little alphabet.

Giving a kid a name that stupid is child abuse.

Might as well have named the kid Putin.

I would have laughed too.

But after they were gone.

And people who post everything on Facebook are stupid.

I totally agree it was 100% inappropriate by the staff but this mother is 100% a moron.

I am waiting for someone to post, on facebook, the HR report about disciplinary actions against the airline employee that posted identifying information on facebook to mock a customer while they were supposed to be working.

The desire for attention at the expense of another could cost the employee their job.

Inception Karma is the best karma.

Abcde, the first five letters of the Latin alphabet, is a feminine given name in the United States (reportedly pronounced /ˈæbsədiː/). The existence of the name came to public attention in December 2014 due to a news story about a seven-year-old girl with the name.[1] This triggered the news portal Vocativ to look into the statistics of the given name.[2] It was revealed that 328 girls were named Abcde in the United States between 1990 and 2014.[2]
