A scientist in China claims to have created the world's first genetically-edited babies, a move that would be a ground-breaking medical first but which has generated a barrage of criticism.

Scientists all around the world were also critical, with some saying a YouTube video was an inadequate way of announcing scientific findings, and others warning that exposing healthy embryos and children to gene editing was irresponsible.

Pretty soon the average Chinese baby will be six inches taller, with round eyes, blond hair and a 10 inch you-know-what. It's almost like I was the model for the "AFTER" picture of this, and Tremain the "BEFORE".

genetically modified humans living in a "social credit" society alongside AI and advanced robotics. let's assume the criteria for being a success remains about the same..the skill set to achieve "success" is gonna' change big time.
