ProPublica and Frontline examine how police and the FBI handled evidence of potential domestic terrorism: "The authorities dispatched to the Tampa apartment seemed unprepared to deal with this particular brand of terrorism. The police detectives and FBI agent who interviewed Arthurs and Russell appear to have given little credence to the evidence discovered in the apartment, or to Arthurs' allegations that the group was plotting terrorist attacks and mass murders."

"While Arthurs was taken to the county jail on homicide charges, police and FBI agents released Russell, who claimed that he used the explosives to power model rockets. An officer even drove Russell back to the murder scene so he could retrieve his car.

What happened next could well have been a disaster. Within hours, Russell acquired an AR-15-style assault rifle and a bolt-action hunting rifle. He loaded homemade body armor and more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition into his car, and set off for the Florida Keys with another Atomwaffen member. He was eventually arrested by sheriff's deputies in Monroe County. They were shocked by the weapons and ammunition they found in the car. There was no luggage. No food. Russell didn't seem prepared for an extended trip, they said."

How long before a member of the DR community is a victim to these crazies? That the FBI seems so clueless is very concerning. I can only remember 9-11 and the Commission testimony by the Bush administration, so clueless, even when warned. Deja vu. You have to start thinking, they welcome terrorist attacks because that gives them the opportunity that they want to attack whoever they want regardless if they are even connected to the attacks.

It's simple enough, law enforcement doesn't go after these guys because they share their beliefs. They consider them harmless until it's too late.

From Frontline, which I happen to be watching now:

One lady who studies Atomwaffen and similar Nazi Groups asserts that they are ALL primarily linked to American military actions. Who remembers that Timothy McVeigh was a Gulf War veteran. Leaders of four of these groups all emerged from combat veterans. They are encouraged to use the military to acquire military training, advance in that system to get themselves into a position where they can steal military equipment, and go off-line acting out as lone gunmen to avoid detection. The Pittsburg synagogue shooter suspect Robert Bowers targeted Jews online and made anti-Semitic comments during the shooting, fits that behavior pattern.

The Pentagon and other military organizations will not respond to Frontline but have sent a letter to Congressman Ellison assuring him they are actively investigating and discharging neo-nazis groups within their ranks, quoting 27 cases out of millions of active military personnel. The ACLU scoffs at this number and expresses concern that the actual number must be far higher.

The release of this Atomwaffen roommate murderer from custody who promptly loaded his vehicle with weapons and headed for the Keys, only to be accidentally taken into custody and discovered at a quick stop market. A huge part of this problem is the attitude of the police, military and judicial system, which consistently treats them better than peaceful liberal anti-war or anti-nuclear protesters.

I believe Frontline went onto discuss that the FBI has been distracted from the work they were doing against these groups since 9/11 and the pivot to radicalized Islamists. That's let these groups fester and grow. They actively target military personnel and ex-military for recruitment and train seriously and hard for combat on private property.

Actually, you may want to reword that. By your logic, they welcome hate crimes so they can attack white people...the very people you and every other Liberals is saying the Right is trying to protect.

Perpetrator seems equally likely.

That's exactly the strategy PNAC spelled out.

The Neocons needed a Pearl Harbor Level Event to galvanize public support for invading Iraq.

All they had to do was sit back and wait for the August 8 PDB to become a reality.

Serious interests are optimally already under observation by local investigators.

Exceptions may exist, but nobody here has a large enough audience or broken imperial conditioning.

Do we have a serious ragehater posting ouija board requests to the ghost of Osama, other than myself?

I imagine Jeff sports a Hitler mustache..

If the FBI can't investigate Arabs learning to fly passenger jets who don't want to learn how to land... bureaucracies have other priorities...

besides, liberals are the enemy, right wing gun nuts and Saudis are their allies...

Hey, cops don't make the laws.

They simply enforce them, arbitrarily, in the support of white supremacy.

Honestly, we are all at risk of corrupt authority. Naturally, they would go after Rogers first, so unless he keeps you locked in a gimp box under his bed .. I would expect that our normal behavior filters out threat and leads. I also like to think that because we provoke specific data mining in posts dense with witty false-positives even legitimate analysis ranks us better than Huffington Post posters, maybe even 80% of Reddit. Real crazy such as militant zionists and neo-incel alt-Nazi gunbats might find jihad holograms of Trump surrounded by Aquanet space force literally grooming by militarized apparatus. All we can hope is to be non-Muslim when the Christian anarchists begin purging, so everyone remember to burn your Muhammad paraphernalia, Jews ditch those magic pajamas that has a star and stripes. We have humor, they have hatred. We have ---------, they have reticles. It takes two to jihad, but only one to explode in proximity. HEIL ALLAH!
