Actress Mareli Miniutti is seeking a restraining order against Michael Avenatti, the attorney who was arrested last week on suspicion of felony domestic violence. Miniutti filed a petition in Los Angeles County Superior Court seeking the restraining order. The legal action was first reported by entertainment news site The Blast. The outlet reported Miniutti also made the domestic violence report against Avenatti. Her involvement was previously unknown.

Avenatti was also formally charged last week with felony domestic violence, according to a statement from LAPD Officer Rosario Herrera. Police didn't immediately disclose details about the arrest incident but Officer Tony Im, an LAPD spokesman, said "the victim had visible injuries."

A hearing for the restraining order will be held in Santa Monica on December 10, according to the court records.

Hope sprung eternal from the apologists of the DR Left, from 11/20:

his wife allegedly denies she was assaulted.

This woman is saying there was no domestic abuse.

The alleged victim denies there was any assault.

Who is "her"? Both of his ex-wives deny they were the victim of domestic abuse.

we don't know who [sought the restraining order], now do we. Perhaps it is Mackris werking for James O'Keefe.

As it turns out... the story is bullpucky. Eat it clowns you screwed up again... stupid losers.

I heard last night that Avenatti is looking to hire Sitrick & Co., a crisis PR firm that has been previously used by Cosby and Kevin Spacey, to try to get in front of the press on this, but that they were looking for a $500,000 retainer.

We will know on December 10 if the temporary restraining order already issued against Avenatti becomes permanent. From the looks of it, if Ms. Miniutti continues to press forward for the restraining order, she will continue to press charges against Avenatti.

Actually, we were just enjoying the Big ---- Show just like you were. I admit I really enjoyed watching Avenatti bring to Humpy. I enjoyed ogling Stormy. But, I never seriously thought anything would come of it.

It was just more fuel for the ----- Show and Dumpter Fire.

It's my understanding that he refused to make the retainer payment so he is looking elsewhere.

Valid point, and I don't believe you were one of the apologists on the Left for Avenatti's actions after this story surfaced.

It is all part of the Trumpster fire that is this reality show presidency, but several people here (along with CNN and MSNBC) took Avenatti and his antics seriously, even to the extent of being excited by a possible POTUS run.

Of course, Avenatti is claiming this is vindication and an indication of his innocence, which I'm not sure it is:

"Mareli Miniutti also claimed that Avenatti hit her in the face with pillows"

Oh my god. I guess I should have gotten a restraining order against my big brother when I was a kid.
