Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Every year thousands of monarch butterflies dance through the air over North Florida, traveling between their winter refuge in Mexico and their regular homes along the U.S. Atlantic coastline. The colorful pageant attracts flocks of tourists who are eager to bear witness to this sprightly migration. Every year, though, there have been fewer and fewer of the princely insects to see.

A new University of Florida study -- at nearly four decades, the longest of its kind -- has found that the number of caterpillars and butterflies in North Florida has been declining since 1985.

Since 2005, the numbers have dropped by 80 percent.

The air is polluted. Bats are going extinct - every flying insect including birds who depend upon them.

Airshed and watershed data is not interpreted to explain the sums of non-traditional materials such as aluminum and barium. It's ignored deliberately by corporate shills in the EPA.

This disaster begins and ends with pollution and habitat destruction caused by humans.

Why would the caterpillar count decrease? The milkweed? The water? Perhaps it has more to do with what pesticides and aluminum do to eggs.. All plants and animals ingesting neonicotinoid is going extinct.

The change in the weather cycle is also a caused by people, imo. Weather manipulation forces migration outside of viable conditions elsewhere.

Monsanto administration, scientists, engineers and shareholders are to blame, no matter who else. Those cretins are tippy-top on Satans condo reservations.

"Meanwhile, the US -- which currently ranks eighth on the list of countries with the lowest air pollution -- could be headed in the opposite direction."

^
That's the direction MSgt and the rest of the right-wingers and GOP traitors want to go.

Our air and water is actually too clean. We should get a little dirtier so corporations can make more money. With any luck, the money will trickle down along with the pollution.

Feel free to set the record straigh if I've unfairly characterized your position, MSgt!

Have a nice weekend.

Monarch butterflies were made up by the CNN reporter Jim Accosta, which is why he was banned from the wh. True story.

#4 Actual conservatives support the environment, especially all small farmers. Without the environment, there is no Bambi's dad to shoot, and that talking/singing AI Big Mouth Bass robot techno-horror would never have been inspired if the rivers where so polluted that they catch on fire (which has happened). Try to keep that in mind when looking for allies instead of just attacking anyone who isn't brainwashed due to your programming.

Good news is we have scientists heading to congress who can make fools of the climate change deniers.

"#4 Actual conservatives support the environment"

Not in America they don't.

In America, actual conservatives support Clean Coal and fracking and chant "Drill, baby, Drill" and they're not talking about the stuff Stormy Daniels does to President Donald J. Trump's sewer system.

It's just like how in any other modern country, actual conservatives support universal health care, but in America, conservatives want to cut, privatize, or eliminate Medicare and Medicaid and the VA and CHIP.

Yet another example of how "Conservatives" are too stupid to vote for their own best interests.

Interesting... no one mentioned the radiation from Fukashima. The Pacific Ocean is part of the hydrologic cycle. Radiation has already been measured in parts of California so it must be assumed it will travel further East.

Re:#11

The monarch population has been declining for (at least!) twenty years. The Fukushima disaster happened less than eight years ago. The radiation contamination from that disaster began arriving in this hemisphere even later than that. I suspect that's why no one has mentioned a causal connection.

You vote for open borders and free trade with slave nations. How does that help anyone but the oligarchs? And I know know why democrats switched sides - for the money.

So give me a break. Your party is doomed, and we are going to change the other one, because that's the only option left thanks to Critical Theory catching on and all the other stuff...
