Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Wednesday, November 07, 2018

Dez Bryant is back in the NFL, and he is joining one of the league's top Super Bowl contenders. The former Dallas Cowboys receiver has agreed to a one-year deal with the New Orleans Saints, a source confirmed to ESPN's Adam Schefter Wednesday. It was not immediately known how much Bryant will make. ... Although the Saints (7-1) are thriving, with a seven-game win streak and the No. 2 scoring team in the NFL, they are thin on proven receivers. ... Pro Bowler Michael Thomas is the only Saints receiver with more than 12 catches this year.

If Drew Brees can continue his ridiculously awesome season, win this year's MVP, make the Super Bowl and then beat Tom Brady he might make his strongest case for G.O.A.T.

Brees is the real stuff, always has been. And Dez will be a decent 2 to go after 50/50 balls and block.

I wonder about the compensation for this deal... Dez might have done it for free just to get to play the 'Boys in a few weeks, lmao.

They weren't going to keep him for 16 mil a year, and he wasn't looking for a cut at the time. It's be interesting to see what he settled for for what may be half a season.

He wanted a one year deal to show what he could do and then get a longer term pay day, but he' prolly too old, and maybe too contentious for that now.

Yes it is. It's amazing how many cowboy fans forgot about that when he played for them.

I like the Saints but this guy is an immature cancer, that runs crappy routes. I hope the Saints hired the baby sitter that Crazy Uncle Jerruh hired to keep him out of trouble.

The Great Dez Robbery-

"Dez Bryant's contract is for $1.5 million, prorated to $600,000, according to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter. The deal also contains undisclosed reception incentives that could total up to $500,000, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

In all, the deal at maximum could cost the Saints up to $1.1 million over the season's final eight games.

The Bryant signing also gained some clarity Thursday morning as the Saints placed wide receiver Cameron Meredith on injured reserve as he is set to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his knee."

Dallas would have likely kept him for more than twice that... but not $16 million.

Reportedly the Ravens offer was 3 years for $21 mil, but he wanted a one year deal and then to be a free agent again. And to play the 'Boys this year, which now he gets to do.

Maybe he can go back to the Cowgirls. They all play like they have torn ACLs anyway.

Torn ACL aaaaaaand 5 lbs over weight.

This was not the guy to bring into a potential Super Bowl contending locker room.

Heard the Browns offered him 1year $5 million. He turned it down wanting $10 million.

This is not the guy you want in your locker room.

Can I agree with this because I'd rather have him om the field, taking a knee while the national anthem plays?

He'd have a greater impact doing so than trying to catch up to Drew Brees' bombs.

I repeat, he showed up 5 lbs overweight.

5 lbs.

That's like two power dumps.

Half of one of Trump's

The point is Bryant is clearly no where near being in football shape, SNOOFY.
