Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Tuesday, November 06, 2018

Democrats will win control of the House in Tuesday's critical midterm elections, and Republicans will hold the Senate after Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, defeated Democratic challenger Beto O'Rouke, NBC News projects. The Democrats' hopes for a tidal wave to rebuke President Donald Trump have been tempered by early returns, Polls have closed in most states, including Indiana and Tennesse, where Republicans won two key Senate contests, suggesting the GOP may be on their way ousting more vulnerable Democratic incumbents in yet-to-be-called races and padding their majority in the upper chamber.

Thank you to everyone that voted. From the people waiting to vote to the staff manning the precinct they were friendly and kind. Sadly there is always the 'one' person. Today he was wearing a NFL Bortles jersey complaining about the line, it wasn't long. I asked if he went to games, and yes he does, a season ticket holder. I asked, you will happily go to a NFL game and wait for hours without a complaint but can't stand in line for ten minutes to vote? God Bless the older man behind me who chuckled and said the guy would be singing a different tune if the supervisor of elections handed out beer based on the guys belly.

It was truly a civil process and I am proud of both parties who voted at my precinct.

"Why? Taking the House is a slam dunk."

I have never said that liar. I have been very questioning about these elections throughout this election cycle. Republicans can depend on 24/7 propaganda (Fox News) and that gives them an advantage. Democrats have to combat the propaganda channel 24/7 and it does make it hard to win as an American patriot instead of a corporate scum bag.

"Why? Taking the House is a slam dunk."

I have never claimed that once. The Republicans own more media and the MSM pay too little attention to Democrats, that's just the facts. When you have the propaganda channel working for you 24/7, voter suppression efforts, ets, it is hard for a Democrat to win in a racist state.

The Jacob Chambers Case began in October 2009 and eventually became known in February 2010 as "Operation Fast and Furious" after agents discovered Chambers and the other suspects under investigation belonged to a car club.

The economy is doing well so if the dems take the house it shows that the voters were unhappy with trump enough to hurt republicans.

Obama lost the house in part due to a lousy economy in 2010. Trump doesn't have that excuse.

Your link, first words extended:

"Gunwalking", or "letting guns walk", was a tactic of the Arizona Field Office of the United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), which ran a series of sting operations[2][3] between 2006[4] and 2011[2][5] in the Tucson and Phoenix area where the ATF "purposely allowed licensed firearms dealers to sell weapons to illegal straw buyers, hoping to track the guns to Mexican drug cartel leaders and arrest them"
You are a damned intentional liar. There is no way you could miss the first sentence of your own source.

The GOP strengthening their hold on the Senate is not good news for the Dems, since 2020 is an even split between GOP and Dem seats in contention and assuming that Donnie Little Hands is still in office and runs again, that could be a bad year for the Dems.

#203 Blame your party for his win. The democratic party has given up on the Florida Panhandle, they don't bother to show up or if they do they send in a second rate has been for rally attendance of maybe 50 people. Leon County can not and does not carry the state. If you look at my earlier posts here when Nelson and Gillum were ahead, I said not to pay any attention as the Central Time Zone votes were just beginning to come in. And like clockwork they did and the leads changed and in the end who won did as well. So you can continue with the unhealthy hate in your heart or volunteer with you party to shout from the roof tops what you post here. That is why Gillum lost. He made ONE visit to ground zero Bay County/TAFB LAST week. If you want to be governor you have to govern the whole state not just Leon County and black based churches.

As far as Nelson, yes he visited but they were photo op visits. Meanwhile Scott was down and dirty with the residents. He walked areas destroyed. He talked to people. He demanded federal help. He was on the ground with Trump, Bondi, Putmun, Patronis, etc. I can tell you first hand that in it's self turned some blue votes to red. Bay County went from 10/12 with media reports of months before power restored to where they are today, 3 weeks later and 85% of power has been restored. I'll bet that even turned some Libertarian/Independent votes red.

As far as Trump, keep on keeping on. If you or anyone else think for minute if there was a shred of evidence that could land him in a court of law, impeachment or resigning we would have seen it by now.

So what I told Danni. Volunteer. Vote and volunteer some more.

And don't forget the impact of provisional ballots in both Florida and Georgia. I'm waiting for each state to announce how many were cast. Hopefully all parties have mechanisms in place to assist these voters in making sure that their legally cast ballots are indeed counted by helping these voters provide whatever each state dictates they do.

#223 Take it up with Nelson's people, they release that HE was demanding a recount. Here is the CNN link:

Your go.

Damn Gracie, do you read your own links?

"We are proceeding to a recount," Nelson said in a brief statement this morning.

Note: Florida Senate Race resides with the margin for an automatic recount according to state law (that's .05%)

Which is exactly what I stated. He didn't demand anything, he stated his campaign was shifting to comply with Florida law moving forward.

And that's a typo on CNN's point, the law is 1/2 of 1% or .5%, not .05%.

The "red wave" you described was the political terrain 2 days ago.

Nothing changed that political terrain yesterday.

You're obviously very confused.

Hans, that is my point the blue wave did not occur, Red senate is more powerful, no impeachment of anyone. All Trump justices will be confirmed.

When are you going to let Nancy Pelosi in on that fact?

"Red senate is more powerful, no impeachment of anyone."

Was that way 2 days ago.

It is that way today.

See: Status quo.

"All Trump justices will be confirmed."

2 days ago all Trump justices had been confirmed.

It will be that way if/when another vacancy occurs.

See: Status quo.

what will be interesting is to see if the Cesar Psyop and PA shooter stories will still have life in them going forward or if they go directly into the memory hole... and did they have their desired affects on the midterms.

What will the Inauthentic Opposition Party do now? Will someone like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez or Bernie Sanders exercise influence or will the usual double speaking Democrats prevail? History says change beneficial to the majority is unlikely.
